- Hi, my name is Justin Ackerman and this is my 2023 Toyota GR86. In this video i install a new front lip from the company Extreme Online Store. Their carbon fiber kit would also look really good on your 86 bro! Would match all your other carbon fiber parts you already have 👍🏽
@@OverDominant yeah I did see that had that on their site. The good thing however about the lip k threw onto the car was is that is on the cheaper side which is nice because it gives me an idea as to if I’ll run into issues with scraping with a lip kit on the car. If everything goes well, which is has so far maybe later down the line I can switch this front lip out for their full carbon kit they make. I appreciate the love fam 💙

I have dreamed of being in the 86/BRZ chassis for years, ever since they released back in 2013. When the time came around when the Gen 2 released I knew I had to own one for myself. I work extremely hard for the things I want in life, it’s not to say I am not blessed to have help as well. Thankfully I still live with my parents so that’s one less thing I have to worry about paying for every month. Thanks so much for watching 🤝💙

what suspension are you using for this?
I’m currently on BC Coilover’s (BR Series) I am lowered about 2 inches or so all around. I hope this could help you out, thanks for watching the video 👏💙
Whenever you drilled, did you drill as straight as possible? Also, what drill bit size did you use? I have a splitter I want to install too, they have premade holes.
Also, was taking the bumper off easy and putting it back on?
What’s up fam, from my understanding I think you should always drill completely straight as possible, to ensure everything will line up properly. As far as the drill bit it really depends on what size hardware and holes you have to make. It should around the size of what the premade holes that come on the splitter.
The removal process of the bumper isn’t to difficult I’ve done it about 4 times now or so, although putting it back on can be a-bi of a pain especially trying to do it by yourself. It’s definitely manageable though…

I like it without the pieces added onto to it. Looks cleaner like that. Plus I feel like you’d run into more issues of scraping with those 2 extra pieces on the bottom of the lip. That’s just me 🤷♂️
@user-LFU Yeah I can agree on that. I love the clean and simple look of the 1 pc version rather than adding the extra 2 pieces, however at the same time I still feel it looks really nice and aggressive. Then comes into play the scrapping as you mentioned, and having those two added pieces might make it a-little more of something to be worried about.
Great work. Good video. Since you bought the side parts already, I would mount them, but either way the front looks fantastic.

Where did you get the wheels?
What’s up Daniel, so I actually bought my wheels brand new from import image racing. The reason I did that was because I was looking for specific specs and color.
If I am being 100% honest with you, yeah it’s nice buying brand new parts, but at the same time I could have saved alot of money buying used instead. If I was in your scenario I would advice looking online first for a used set, which means potentially taking a drive as well for a decent deal and getting those. I’m always okay with driving a bit of distance for a good deal on parts. The wheels were about $2300 brand new not including tires, the mounting, center caps, or lug nuts. So like I said, you can save alot of money just trying to find a used set instead. I hope this could help you out, thanks for watching the video fam 👏💙

Are you referring to the cars exhaust? If so the car currently has a PLM Catless UEL header on it as well as the AWE Track catbcak on it. I think it sounds absolutely amazing.

Wassup Alex, so as far as I know Extreme Online Store has a front lip for the GR Corolla on there. However it is more on the pricy side just because it’s a full carbon front lip instead of a FRP one like I installed on my 86. There is for sure some options out there simular to this for your Corolla I’m sure. Thanks for watching the video fam 👏💙

The quality is great even on this FRP one, so I can only imagine how amazing the full carbon front lip would be and how absolutely gorgeous it would look.
