Of course we want to see that tested. I have some hand me down makita batteries and tools, but I don't want (cant justify spending that much right now) to buy their impact or a grinder, but it would be nice to have something, before I get the real deal. Another thing - have You looked into tools that are on THE chinese site? We in Europe can't get shit from Amazon, or it costs the same as real brands with import tax, but when You buy from that site then people around the world have somewhat similiar prices.
I was going to suggest swapping batteries between the amazon brands to see if any of the power differences comes from the quality or grade of cells within the packs. Seeing them compared to a Makita 18v would be great too. I'd also like to see what a multimeter gets across the "21v" batteries vs the Makita 18v batteries to see if the Amazon specials are indeed the 21v they claim to be.
I hate to say it, but you finally verified what I thought of the Amazon Chinesium Torque wrenches. So many TH-camrs are getting the Kimmo for free and exaggerating the quality and capability of the Kimmo tools. Thanks for the videos. Project Farm and the Torque Test Channel are the only unbiased tool reviews in TH-cam.
A huge sales commission will make even the most honest guy over look a few things, it's impossible to remove from your brain. We try to be transparent when we have baked in biases, because we're not robots either.
The ratchet wrench is pretty dam good. I got the extended one. Not gonna do more than 30ft pounds or so but will torque 80+ "as a ratchet" breaking wheel lugs on my e46 loose was nerve racking as I broke two harbor freight breaker vars and two autozone breaker bars. Broke 2 studs loose with the kimo (again as a normal ratchet not on its own power) and went and bought a half inch breaker bar which held up. Kimo isn't a cheap brand. My old boss has their nailer, and a few other tools which are all heavy used and abused being dropped 2.5 stories etc which all still work flawlessly. (I'm a porter cable fan so not biased at all!)
I bought the SeeSii and I am impressed! It is stronger than both of my air impacts. It took the front pulley off of my engine when my air impacts could not.
@@margustammemaa5843 I bought one off of FB marketplace last week for $60. It's been awesome taking apart my Camaro I'm redoing the transmission, the rusty bolts on the exhaust turned right off. The only problem I had is with one bell housing to case bolt not breaking away, but some heat solved that issue instantly. I really like this impact
I was sent 2 of the Kimo to test. 1 when the brand first came out. Another about 6 months ago. I can tell you with out question the first one was way stronger then the 2nd one. My son now uses them because both over time in 30 hour a week use. Developed a strange habit about every 5th trigger pull it would not go. After removing the battery and replacing it was good for another round of lugs then would stop again. Kimo claimed it was a battery problem but I confirmed that with a brand new one from a polesaw they had sent me as well.
See that's what I'm more interested in than just torque ratings. A gun could put out 500 lb-ft torque on a budget, but then be useless 3 months down the road. Instead of that, I'd rather buy a 250 lb-ft gun for the same price that would last 2-4 years of constant use.

@@svgPhoenix Couldnt be more wrong. Higher ah batteries have a greater sustainable Voltage, fighting V droop under load. This is why a 5ah pack outperforms a 2ah pack, all else being equal.
Any possibility to test a few knock off batteries on name brand impacts? I realize this could pretty quickly spiral out of control if you did 5 top brand impacts and say 3-4 different knock off batteries per tool.
I personally have knock off batteries and have used them for many different tool brands. At the end of the day no they dont last as long as the name brand but price for value is way better. 6 5ah knockoffs 150$. 6 5ah name brand minimum 450$.
the SeeSii would be a great impact to keep in your truck for an emergency, wouldn’t be too worried about it getting stolen, and it has enough power to be viable when you need it
I've used and own several Avid Power 1/2 inch Impact Wrench for car emergencies and DIY jobs. And I gotta admit, thing packs a punch and made easy work for several hard to remove nuts and bolts. Granted it's Brushed and it does have it's limits but overall a beast of tool for the right job
I am not on any social media sites other than Facebook and TH-cam. I love watching lots of comparisons because it saves money when I need to buy a tool.
My girlfriend bought me the Avid one for Christmas. It's great for changing out your wheels more quickly. It took off a lug torqued to 90ft lbs without a problem. For that type of work, I can't really complain.
I just wnated to say that it is awesome that you give away these tools after testing to people that NEED them. This is something that I highly value. Growing up poor you get a lot of hand me downs and often they are not what you want... beggars cant be choosers... but after i grad-eated college as a genu-wine engineer i had a few bucks and i would sometimes give away some of my hobby items to people that i knew were like me - really wanting to get something but not having much if any chance to get it... so kudos, cheers! This testing is huge for people that need to buy these items for their jobs.
This may have been my favorite episode. I think we are all curious about some of he bargain tools we see on Amazon and this answered a lot of questions with some disappointing as well as some positive results.
On the other side of the spectrum, I have the Kimo electric ratchet and can't recommend it enough. Not really meant for torque, but it makes taking off many small nuts / bolts very easy. Battery seems to last forever, and I like that you can use it as a regular ratchet until you break loose. Been using it as a weekend warrior type person for about 3 years now and no issues!

Bought the same kimo impact wrench. Read a bunch of the reviews and watched a couple youtube videos and all said it was a really good impact. I got it, fully charged it and tried to take my audi lug bolts off (torqued to 95 ft lbs) and it couldn't take them off. Ended up going to buy a Flex impact from lowes and I'm glad I did cause it's a really good impact.
i use the Avid Power for mechanic work, it’s been great for the value. i also have a Kimo 3/8 electric ratchet and that also does great. i love both. i just got a Kimo drill to do some basic Ikea and furniture builds, i imagine it’ll do just fine, plus it shares the same battery as the 3/8. convenient and i’m sure it’ll do just fine. hard to complain when the jobs get done and i get paid.
they tested a hart brand which is either equal or better than the hyper tough(guessing). it did 258 working tq, 238 max tq, 300 bcs and at the time of their testing was $119 and its 8.3" long. scored 240 out of 500

If you're going to use a DP (impact) the smaller ones might be more managable- especially if you are new (to cordless power tools) You have just enough comedy here. Not too hot, not too cold .. just right.
I teally like the test standardization along with the no BS commentary and objective ratings. Also appreciate evals of budget tools as I'm a DIY guy, not a pro.

Great test as always. There are two brands you may want to consider - Neiko and WorkPro. Both offer (unsurprisingly familiar looking) impacts that compliment their burgening tool lines. Neiko is often referred too as a "tool truck alternative", and WorkPro is kind of like Craftsman now with slightly overpriced and heavily advertised tools. It's worth a look.
Biggest suggestion from a long time wrench thrower, buy a quality product the first time. I cannot put in to words that amount of money, time, and emotional distress caused to myself when I have "saved" money.
I learned with electronics as a kid to not waste money on shite.... Unless you have a test to know how much you are getting, it's usually garbage. Hell, even today you can go out and spend $350 on a new laptop from Walmart that gives you less performance than a $150 used eBay laptop in great shape. If all you ever buy is low end stuff, you waste money in the long run replacing it trying to find another discount tool that actually does what it says, or lasts. I can't wait to see the results for longevity because these are a real hit or miss. I've taken apart low cost Amazon stuff and the construction quality is crazy low And totally variable based upon who did what step on the assembly line (loose wires, barely soldered on wires, batteries with improper spot welds, batteries completely missing spot welds).
The big thing I get from this is you have a number of different brands that would seem to use the same battery. I really wish that were the case here. Imagine being able to use a dewalt or makita battery in a milwaukee tool. You wouldn't be locked into one brand because of the battery. That seesii is a real surprise. I guess the next test is to see if they're really 4Ah.
Handife 1/2" impact wrench was absolutely the best hands down! I purchased one in 2021 for 79.99 and it's a BEAST! Breaks loose rusted axel nuts with no PB Blaster in less than 30 seconds. I'll put Handife up against DeWalt, Milwaukee, Ingersoll, etc and Handife will win!

I’ll stick with my new Dewalt, but I must say those cheap Amazon impacts are impressive. Kind of like buying a battery and a charger and getting another battery and impact for free!
What surprising is that any of these are less-than-impressive: these knockoffs use either outdated tech, or IP theft current tech from legitimate brands, coupled with material cost savings, so they have little to no R&D cost to cover in their pricing, at which point it becomes odd that some of them failed to perform out of the box (even if they give up the ghost with some use due to the cheaper materials).
What a great video. I always wondered how amazon impacts and other power tools do in real life. I use impacts almost everyday , be it removing bolts …nuts…tapping large holes ( 1/2’ and 5/8”). Installing tracks or machines or controllers or picking angles….I work on elevators for a living. I have used many tools and have destroyed many tools.
I've done reviews on these super cheap tools, so far I've been surprised, but only due to super low expectations I suppose. I gave the WAKYME tool away and it was half way decent for $99. Basically a 3/8 impact with a 1/2 anvil. But I'd definitely say their life expectancy will not be good in daily use. Home use probably fine, but the batteries may not be available once they fail at a year or two old. For a professional, stick with better brands of course, that isn't their target market, imo. Great video!

I have many name brands of impact drivers, but I bought one off Amazon made by Deko 20V Max and that thing is every bit good as name brand impact drivers I own for more than half the price. love mine.
I have the dayplus and im really satisfied with it. I use it for normal car fasteners. It works perfect, even on rusted bolts. Not milwaukee but workes perfectly fine 3-4 days of the week since half an year
Everything has their place. I had to cut brick and mortar to put in a wall box for a power point. A multitool was the most practical tool to use for the job. I have a Bosch multitool, I was NOT going to use the Bosch. Instead, I purchased a cheap multitool and it did exactly what I wanted it to do and it still works. I will keep using it, until it dies.
i've had that exact aoben for a little over a year now and its still kicking lol. its been left out in the rain a couple times and it still works as well as it did when i got it. kinda impressed about that tbh lol. definitely cheap but it feels decent and it does what i need it to do.

i replaced one of my Dewalt 3/8s for a Milwaukee. just cant beat the power i also ended up getting the right angle impact as well a few months back and that works very well too. i just have had bad luck with cheap brand impacts.

I feel like with Amazon specials.. the QC more than likely seriously Lacks. Between all the different factors of whatever battery manufacturer they happen to buy their junk- I mean- batteries from that week, whatever NON-QC parts they change up week to week or month to month. I don’t know. Seems like those torque numbers would (very)likely change if you re-purchased each of those again in 6 months. Just a thought though. (Ie: one comment mentioned how he owns 2 diff KIMO’s, one of which seems stronger than the other. And the one TTC tested scoring like 62ft. Lbs. or something?)
Video is very good. Not long ago, because I needed to buy a torque drilling rig of the Renhotecic brand, I used it for a while, and it felt very good to use. It is recommended that friends in need can try to prepare one.
seesii has some of the most random assortment of items with their name on it. Gym clocks, Pruning sheers, hose wand extensions, 2007 Honda Accord exterior door handles (not kidding), High grade network analysis graph readers, Flamethrowers, RV step motor replacements for Kwikee motors (which I know of because I used to be in the biz), Earwax removers, 2003-2004 Polaris Sportsman 700 clutch compression tool, Harley Davidson Turn Signal load resistor, Uconnect screen replacement, Car noise simulator for Traxxas TRX4, Axial Wraith SCX10 SCX10 II RC Models (not waterproof, DON'T SUBMERSABLE!), I did see a wall mounted power tool hanger and shelf station that looks legitimately good if the racks hold a variety of head sizes, and $50 for it. Will keep that in mind building my shop.
I'd be curious to see if the only difference between the Aoben, DP, and Seesii/Kuccmo are just the hammer and anvil, or if each one actually has a different motor in it. If they all do share the same motor, and there's no meaningful differences between the battery packs, as in quality affecting performance, this would be an interesting piece to show how a better matched motor and hammer-anvil pair makes for a better tool, and why proper tuning of this pair is important. IIRC, wasn't there also a frankensteined Milwaukee not that long ago that more or less had the same result, with a better match of motor and hammer/anvil pair producing a better tool? I know this is outside of the channel's scope, but motor and hammer-anvil tuning is an important topic, and considering you're probably the most scientific in these tests, maybe companies will catch on if it becomes a discussion with pieces of evidence to back that discussion. I know it's not simple to just mix and match different motors and different hammer-anvils, but if you ever feel like diving down the rabbit hole of pair matching, it'd be a very interesting video; and to circle back to the beginning of this, if the Aoben's, DP's, and Seesii's/Kuccmo's motors are the same and the only major difference is the hammer-anvil, this would be a great start to that pair matching rabbit hole.
In case you are not noticing this - many of the "Off" brand impacts are actually using a Makita compatible battery. Any 18V genuine Makita battery will also power the same tool. The batteries are not interchangeable however; the aftermarket branded batteries will not power any genuine Makita 18V tool as that would violate copyright. The Makita compatible tools do function better with the genuine Makita battery. If the charger included in the kit is a slide pack charger, it will also charge genuine Makita 18V slide pack batteries. The Avid Power is the best of the lot, sold more than 30 of them locally, reviews were overall wonderful.

yep, KIMO i still have...still using the cordless ratchet. wished it had "beans" but sadly it doesnt. but by dam sure it holds more foot pounds (load) than harbor freights Pittsburg torque wrench as well ive not broken it yet and did the PB TW...kimo is underrated top selling stuff. haven seen the video yet but still wish to see porter cable added to your listing.....
I bought a 60 buck teccpo impact driver two years ago when I was working at a Nissan dealership. Fast forward to now, I'm a diesel tech and I still use the same impact with the same battery. It's one tough little tool lmao

With the over abundance of choices in battery operated tools I would stay with BRAND NAMES ONLY . Battery systems change frequently especially with off brand tools. For literally a few dollars more you can buy a name brand and not have as big a fear that the battery system will change rendering your tool useless. I have a shelf full of assorted drills , power screwdrivers , and lights from Black and Decker , Craftsman and Skil that all work fine just can’t get the batteries anymore as they changed battery systems after a couple of years. Still have corded drills, saws and air tools from same companies that are over 15 -20 years that work perfectly and actually can use them. I know the big switch is to cordless tools but I’ve been burned in the past . My advice is for a do it yourselfer who has tools for occasional projects stay with the conventional tools. By the time you’ll need that drill again an off brands battery system will be different and you’ll be forced to buy another. Stay with quality and Big Brand Names only .

I bought an Impact on Amazon awhile back during my first job in a mechanic setting and..50$. 3 sockets,the gun,5.0 battery,charger,carrying bag,and for some reason a flashlight. The gun wouldn't remove a tire. However,it has a hex spot in the center of the anvil for bits like a driver. As an impact driver and a looser fastener impact for quick small work,it works fantastic. I gave it to my dad for Christmas 2 years ago and he still uses it. I wish I could tell you the brand but it's no longer on Amazon. No picture,no name,no brand,it's gone.

Hey. Good scientific data number testing. I ran across this video looking for impact wrench info. I'm 66, retired welder, machinist, metal worker. I removed my ZTR mower blades(3) the other day for first time since factory put them on. I have a Rolair vt25big air compressor and a 20 year old or so matco 1/2 impact wrench. Air compressor was bought to air tires in rural area. This set up didn't budge the 3 bolts on blades at underside deck. I ended up using 15/16" impact socket, 1/2" square bar stock ( bent 90* like a large allen wrench and a black pipe about 2 ft + long, wood board to jam blade,and every bit of my mite i had to finally break them free! Now i know my air compressor didn't have the volume for this job. But in your testing data numbers do you think that would have worked on those 3 bolts with any of those battery powered impacts? If so i will buy one. I did use that exact same air set up to remove 3 blades from underside of mower deck on my previous riding mower, but that was after they had been removed the first time with the old sweat, blood and tears cheater bar mite muscle method! Ha ha. Anyway, so maybe these new battery powered impact wrenches are made different these days and will actually remove mower blades installed and been in service for awhile? I enjoyed your video, please let me know what your recommendation is and remember i am retired metal worker! Money is an object! Ha
I would love to see a "standard" makita/dewalt/milwalkee thrown into the mix as a point of comparison. Also at some point I think a video on what the different names of wrenches mean would be interesting - What is an impact wrench vs impact driver. When would you pick a stubby 3/8 over a 1/4" hex drive if the hex drive provides enough torque for my use case? (3/8 grade 8 and below bolts)

Some of you folks may know that a brushed electric motor can be timed for better performance in either forward or reverse. It is as easy as turning the endbell on the motor. Many "off the shelf" motors have fixed timing though and it makes me wonder if some chucklehead didn't bother to look at the motors specs when they were picking them out for these impacts.
I have chinese 300 NM 20 volt impact wrench. Not bad for DIY. Just $50. I not use everyday. The main problem for chinese impact is ESC Modul and BMS battery.Battery life very short. You can increase power with change spring and rewinding motor. I can repair when impact damage. I can rewinding motor. Easy maintanance. Why i not buy dewalt? Because sparepart not always available.
All of these are available on eBay for around 50% off the numbers you are throwing around. I keep a kimo with a 4 ah battery in the back of my truck, spins off 140 Ft lb bolts all day if needed. $42.00 kimo is a national brand.

See that's what I'm more interested in than just torque ratings. A gun could put out 500 lb-ft torque on a budget, but then be useless 3 months down the road. Instead of that, I'd rather buy a 250 lb-ft gun for the same price that would last 2-4 years of constant use.

@@svgPhoenix Couldnt be more wrong. Higher ah batteries have a greater sustainable Voltage, fighting V droop under load. This is why a 5ah pack outperforms a 2ah pack, all else being equal.
Any possibility to test a few knock off batteries on name brand impacts? I realize this could pretty quickly spiral out of control if you did 5 top brand impacts and say 3-4 different knock off batteries per tool.

I personally have knock off batteries and have used them for many different tool brands. At the end of the day no they dont last as long as the name brand but price for value is way better. 6 5ah knockoffs 150$. 6 5ah name brand minimum 450$.

the SeeSii would be a great impact to keep in your truck for an emergency, wouldn’t be too worried about it getting stolen, and it has enough power to be viable when you need it

I've used and own several Avid Power 1/2 inch Impact Wrench for car emergencies and DIY jobs. And I gotta admit, thing packs a punch and made easy work for several hard to remove nuts and bolts. Granted it's Brushed and it does have it's limits but overall a beast of tool for the right job

My girlfriend bought me the Avid one for Christmas. It's great for changing out your wheels more quickly. It took off a lug torqued to 90ft lbs without a problem. For that type of work, I can't really complain.

I just wnated to say that it is awesome that you give away these tools after testing to people that NEED them. This is something that I highly value. Growing up poor you get a lot of hand me downs and often they are not what you want... beggars cant be choosers... but after i grad-eated college as a genu-wine engineer i had a few bucks and i would sometimes give away some of my hobby items to people that i knew were like me - really wanting to get something but not having much if any chance to get it... so kudos, cheers! This testing is huge for people that need to buy these items for their jobs.

This may have been my favorite episode. I think we are all curious about some of he bargain tools we see on Amazon and this answered a lot of questions with some disappointing as well as some positive results.
Well battery-wise, the DP can pretty much fit anywhere it seems. Not a surprise...
On the other side of the spectrum, I have the Kimo electric ratchet and can't recommend it enough. Not really meant for torque, but it makes taking off many small nuts / bolts very easy. Battery seems to last forever, and I like that you can use it as a regular ratchet until you break loose. Been using it as a weekend warrior type person for about 3 years now and no issues!
We plan to buy it!

Bought the same kimo impact wrench. Read a bunch of the reviews and watched a couple youtube videos and all said it was a really good impact. I got it, fully charged it and tried to take my audi lug bolts off (torqued to 95 ft lbs) and it couldn't take them off. Ended up going to buy a Flex impact from lowes and I'm glad I did cause it's a really good impact.
i use the Avid Power for mechanic work, it’s been great for the value. i also have a Kimo 3/8 electric ratchet and that also does great. i love both. i just got a Kimo drill to do some basic Ikea and furniture builds, i imagine it’ll do just fine, plus it shares the same battery as the 3/8. convenient and i’m sure it’ll do just fine.

they tested a hart brand which is either equal or better than the hyper tough(guessing). it did 258 working tq, 238 max tq, 300 bcs and at the time of their testing was $119 and its 8.3" long. scored 240 out of 500

Get the 1/2" as it is easy to use with your 3/8" sockets using a high quality impact reducer adapter. The added oomph will help just in case.
Great test as always. There are two brands you may want to consider - Neiko and WorkPro. Both offer (unsurprisingly familiar looking) impacts that compliment their burgening tool lines. Neiko is often referred too as a "tool truck alternative", and WorkPro is kind of like Craftsman now with slightly overpriced and heavily advertised tools. It's worth a look.
Biggest suggestion from a long time wrench thrower, buy a quality product the first time. I cannot put in to words that amount of money, time, and emotional distress caused to myself when I have "saved" money.
I learned with electronics as a kid to not waste money on shite.... Unless you have a test to know how much you are getting, it's usually garbage.
Hell, even today you can go out and spend $350 on a new laptop from Walmart that gives you less performance than a $150 used eBay laptop in great shape.
If all you ever buy is low end stuff, you waste money in the long run replacing it trying to find another discount tool that actually does what it says, or lasts.
I can't wait to see the results for longevity because these are a real hit or miss. I've taken apart low cost Amazon stuff and the construction quality is crazy low And totally variable based upon who did what step on the assembly line (loose wires, barely soldered on wires, batteries with improper spot welds, batteries completely missing spot welds).
They are cheap for a reason!

The big thing I get from this is you have a number of different brands that would seem to use the same battery. I really wish that were the case here. Imagine being able to use a dewalt or makita battery in a milwaukee tool. You wouldn't be locked into one brand because of the battery. That seesii is a real surprise. I guess the next test is to see if they're really 4Ah.
you can get battery adapters for all the major brands. so you arent stuck with 1 brand.
Handife 1/2" impact wrench was absolutely the best hands down! I purchased one in 2021 for 79.99 and it's a BEAST! Breaks loose rusted axel nuts with no PB Blaster in less than 30 seconds. I'll put Handife up against DeWalt, Milwaukee, Ingersoll, etc and Handife will win!

I’ll stick with my new Dewalt, but I must say those cheap Amazon impacts are impressive. Kind of like buying a battery and a charger and getting another battery and impact for free!
What surprising is that any of these are less-than-impressive: these knockoffs use either outdated tech, or IP theft current tech from legitimate brands, coupled with material cost savings, so they have little to no R&D cost to cover in their pricing, at which point it becomes odd that some of them failed to perform out of the box (even if they give up the ghost with some use due to the cheaper materials).
What a great video. I always wondered how amazon impacts and other power tools do in real life. I use impacts almost everyday , be it removing bolts …nuts…tapping large holes ( 1/2’ and 5/8”). Installing tracks or machines or controllers or picking angles….I work on elevators for a living. I have used many tools and have destroyed many tools.
I've done reviews on these super cheap tools, so far I've been surprised, but only due to super low expectations I suppose. I gave the WAKYME tool away and it was half way decent for $99. Basically a 3/8 impact with a 1/2 anvil. But I'd definitely say their life expectancy will not be good in daily use. Home use probably fine, but the batteries may not be available once they fail at a year or two old.
For a professional, stick with better brands of course, that isn't their target market, imo.

I have many name brands of impact drivers, but I bought one off Amazon made by Deko 20V Max and that thing is every bit good as name brand impact drivers I own for more than half the price. love mine.
I have the dayplus and im really satisfied with it. I use it for normal car fasteners. It works perfect, even on rusted bolts. Not milwaukee but workes perfectly fine 3-4 days of the week since half an year
Everything has their place. I had to cut brick and mortar to put in a wall box for a power point. A multitool was the most practical tool to use for the job. I have a Bosch multitool, I was NOT going to use the Bosch. Instead, I purchased a cheap multitool and it did exactly what I wanted it to do and it still works. I will keep using it, until it dies.

i've had that exact aoben for a little over a year now and its still kicking lol. its been left out in the rain a couple times and it still works as well as it did when i got it. kinda impressed about that tbh lol. definitely cheap but it feels decent and it does what i need it to do.

i replaced one of my Dewalt 3/8s for a Milwaukee. just cant beat the power i also ended up getting the right angle impact as well a few months back and that works very well too. i just have had bad luck with cheap brand impacts.

I feel like with Amazon specials.. the QC more than likely seriously Lacks. Between all the different factors of whatever battery manufacturer they happen to buy their junk- I mean- batteries from that week, whatever NON-QC parts they change up week to week or month to month.

Video is very good. Not long ago, because I needed to buy a torque drilling rig of the Renhotecic brand, I used it for a while, and it felt very good to use. It is recommended that friends in need can try to prepare one.

I did see a wall mounted power tool hanger and shelf station that looks legitimately good if the racks hold a variety of head sizes, and $50 for it. Will keep that in mind building my shop.
I'd be curious to see if the only difference between the Aoben, DP, and Seesii/Kuccmo are just the hammer and anvil, or if each one actually has a different motor in it. If they all do share the same motor, and there's no meaningful differences between the battery packs, as in quality affecting performance, this would be an interesting piece to show how a better matched motor and hammer-anvil pair makes for a better tool, and why proper tuning of this pair is important. IIRC, wasn't there also a frankensteined Milwaukee not that long ago that more or less had the same result, with a better match of motor and hammer/anvil pair producing a better tool? I know this is outside of the channel's scope, but motor and hammer-anvil tuning is an important topic, and considering you're probably the most scientific in these tests, maybe companies will catch on if it becomes a discussion with pieces of evidence to back that discussion. I know it's not simple to just mix and match different motors and different hammer-anvils, but if you ever feel like diving down the rabbit hole of pair matching, it'd be a very interesting video; and to circle back to the beginning of this, if the Aoben's, DP's, and Seesii's/Kuccmo's motors are the same and the only major difference is the hammer-anvil, this would be a great start to that pair matching rabbit hole.

In case you are not noticing this - many of the "Off" brand impacts are actually using a Makita compatible battery. Any 18V genuine Makita battery will also power the same tool. The batteries are not interchangeable however; the aftermarket branded batteries will not power any genuine Makita 18V tool as that would violate copyright. The Makita compatible tools do function better with the genuine Makita battery. If the charger included in the kit is a slide pack charger, it will also charge genuine Makita 18V slide pack batteries. The Avid Power is the best of the lot, sold more than 30 of them locally, reviews were overall wonderful.

i'm still in the intro, i really hope you put avid power on here. I've had an avid power impact for like 2 years now and it's still chooching along, rain, oil, impacts (not from the anvil but from drops) etc it's the best money i've ever spent
yep, KIMO i still have...still using the cordless ratchet. wished it had "beans" but sadly it doesnt. but by dam sure it holds more foot pounds (load) than harbor freights Pittsburg torque wrench as well ive not broken it yet and did the PB TW...kimo is underrated top selling stuff. haven seen the video yet but still wish to see porter cable added to your listing.....
I bought a 60 buck teccpo impact driver two years ago when I was working at a Nissan dealership. Fast forward to now, I'm a diesel tech and I still use the same impact with the same battery. It's one tough little tool lmao

With the over abundance of choices in battery operated tools I would stay with BRAND NAMES ONLY . Battery systems change frequently especially with off brand tools. For literally a few dollars more you can buy a name brand and not have as big a fear that the battery system will change rendering your tool useless.
I have a shelf full of assorted drills , power screwdrivers , and lights from Black and Decker , Craftsman and Skil that all work fine just can’t get the batteries anymore as they changed battery systems after a couple of years. Still have corded drills, saws and air tools from same companies that are over 15 -20 years that work perfectly and actually can use them.
I know the big switch is to cordless tools but I’ve been burned in the past .
My advice is for a do it yourselfer who has tools for occasional projects stay with the conventional tools. By the time you’ll need that drill again an off brands battery system will be different and you’ll be forced to buy another. Stay with quality and Big Brand Names only .

I bought an Impact on Amazon awhile back during my first job in a mechanic setting and..50$. 3 sockets,the gun,5.0 battery,charger,carrying bag,and for some reason a flashlight. The gun wouldn't remove a tire. However,it has a hex spot in the center of the anvil for bits like a driver. As an impact driver and a looser fastener impact for quick small work,it works fantastic. I gave it to my dad for Christmas 2 years ago and he still uses it. I wish I could tell you the brand but it's no longer on Amazon. No picture,no name,no brand,it's gone.

I'm 66, retired welder, machinist, metal worker.
I removed my ZTR mower blades(3) the other day for first time since factory put them on. I have a Rolair vt25big air compressor and a 20 year old or so matco 1/2 impact wrench. Air compressor was bought to air tires in rural area.
This set up didn't budge the 3 bolts on blades at underside deck.
I ended up using 15/16" impact socket, 1/2" square bar stock ( bent 90* like a large allen wrench and a black pipe about 2 ft + long, wood board to jam blade,and every bit of my mite i had to finally break them free!
Now i know my air compressor didn't have the volume for this job.
But in your testing data numbers do you think that would have worked on those 3 bolts with any of those battery powered impacts? If so i will buy one. I did use that exact same air set up to remove 3 blades from underside of mower deck on my previous riding mower, but that was after they had been removed the first time with the old sweat, blood and tears cheater bar mite muscle method! Ha ha.
Anyway, so maybe these new battery powered impact wrenches are made different these days and will actually remove mower blades installed and been in service for awhile?

Also at some point I think a video on what the different names of wrenches mean would be interesting - What is an impact wrench vs impact driver. When would you pick a stubby 3/8 over a 1/4" hex drive if the hex drive provides enough torque for my use case? (3/8 grade 8 and below bolts)

90% of my reason for getting an impact driver is wheelnuts which are generally up to 140nM or 100 ft lb - ish so this is what was of interest to me.

I bought the Uaoaii 1/2 inch drive impact from Amazon and it works great!
Some of you folks may know that a brushed electric motor can be timed for better performance in either forward or reverse. It is as easy as turning the endbell on the motor. Many "off the shelf" motors have fixed timing though and it makes me wonder if some chucklehead didn't bother to look at the motors specs when they were picking them out for these impacts.
I have chinese 300 NM 20 volt impact wrench. Not bad for DIY. Just $50. I not use everyday.
The main problem for chinese impact is ESC Modul and BMS battery.Battery life very short. You can increase power with change spring and rewinding motor.
I can repair when impact damage. I can rewinding motor. Easy maintanance.
Why i not buy dewalt? Because sparepart not always available.
