Nahhh, the Live action is much better when it comes to the Scale of the Dragon details, and these are just the trailers, in the perspective of an engineer you could actually see the more details in it
They used exactly the same animations from the original ut touched them up a little. You can go and match scenes from it and they are EXACTLY the same. This is not impressive or cool. This is copying a already popular movie. Straight plagiarism.@@CT_20243
@@cbroo69 i seen it im a little disappointed i get they wanna make stuff diverse and equality and stuff but they gotta understand that really the only black person in httyd is drago blood fist and thats it
I agree. The CGI looks very very impressive. And tbh, adapting an animated film can't be easy, but with this adaptation, I feel like they have done an amazing job.
When I was a young kid I remember seeing the first film with my father for the first time ever and I loved it. I used to we watched the first one on bootleg from a DVD that my father gave to me while while at a barber shop where they used to sell bootleg DVDs and I continue to rewatch it over and over and over again the first film will always hold a special place in my heart growing up I wish I saw two and three in theaters.
Bro we are the same i first watched httyd it was from the dvd i think i was 8/6 years old i My dad gave it to me too i think it was a barber shop too man, Thats unbelievable.
Ok i disagree with classics being remade into live actions but those animations and cgi looks crisp and loyal to the original movie. Wish they did a live action remake closer to the book
How to train your dragon means so much to me, it's one of the few things that got me through highschool growing up now I'm 26, I walked down the aisle to romantic flight and balled my eyes out watching this brought back the same feelings that I had as a kid. So excited for June next year! 😍
Watching this trailer, I couldn't tell if it was animated or live action because I could remember the scenes from the animated movie and it looked so similar
I’m so glad they kept Gerard Butler as Stoic as I can’t imagine anyone else doing this ! Toothless looks amazing too! I loved this film so much the first time I hope they do it justice 🙏🏻♥️
It really feels like Toothless from cartoon version literally got brought in to the real life version and I'm grateful for it.. Toothless looks flawless and still very fitting!!
Wow Speechless!!! This is coming as Live Action!!!!!!!! Stoked! John Powell!!!!!!!! Gerard Butler!!!! How amazing is this gonna be!!!!!! My kids love Hiccup & Toothless now 😂😂😂
Looks good thus far, I normally don't check out the newer live-action variations of movies I once enjoyed, but this is well done from this trailer imo - I will be interested in further scenes being shown as we get closer. And part of my family is from Norway and I love Norse Mythology, etc. Kinda hyped, but cautious.
Great video, Charlie. One of my all-time favorite trilogies. The original movie had me when they first made contact. I hope this movie is at least, just as good as the original.
I love the original Trillogy, as well as the two Dragon riders of Berk companion tv shows. in the original animated movie, Hiccup is presented as a weakling and an embarrasment to his father. the name hiccup is in fact a slang term for a weakling. hiccup designs the bola on his own, to proove he is wothy to live in this society. his motivation is always trying to make his father proud. it is important when Hiccup says "i can't kill dragons". the fact that things look shot for shot could bite them. they need to show the difference early.
I am very happy with how much we have seen so far and heard dreamworks truly cares about their fans with how much work is put into their movies even if it’s a live action they care. It’s not anything like Disney
I am thinking that they are probably adding some stuff from the books into the live action movie that was not in the animated version. Fleshing out some of the side characters and things like that.
Hey Charlie thanks for this and the live action httyd movie looks promising I got emotional when we say the look in toothless’ eyes he and hiccup look so good!
Can I ask why have you been excited for it? Genuine question. The original movies still exist, they'll basically be the same, and the dragon looks basically exactly the same, and the people look worse.
“How to train your Dragon” is part of many children’s childhood so this will definitely be both be watch by new and old generations and if they finally made to adult Hiccup the main voice actor could play it in live action adaptation
Im excited to see what drago blood fist will look like in the second and in the third with the light fury’s if they do the series they made too that would be amazing
Hear me out: This could be DreamWorks' chance to turn How to Train Your Dragon into a live-action universe, something on the level of Game of Thrones or House of the Dragon. While only the movie has been announced so far, they could eventually adapt the series and expand the world even more. Plus, being live-action will probably attract a much larger audience.
OMG, OMG, OMG...I went to the theatre by myself to see the movie Toothless. I love Him; he is so much like my Tuxedo cat, Jimmy. But it still looks like animation to me.
Oh my god yeah this is exactly what we needed🎉❤ that actually looks pretty damn good and the actors seem like they were CGI at first, but I don’t think they are
WHYYYYYYYY?!! The animated version is perfect (I mean except for the trope usually used regarding having to prove oneself in order to be loved/respected by parent). This makes me sad, because the money and labour could have gone into a new story.
I really REALLY dont see the need to keep remaking classic movie in live action (especially one like HTTYD that still visually holds up)….that being said…I’m loving the art designs. If these companies are going to keep forcing these live action cash grab down our throat, at least this one has clearly hired a dedicated and passionate team to work on it. I know I’m part of the problem but I definitely will go see this movie
Looks pretty similar to the original visually. Wondering how close they are going to follow the story. Is it going to be exact/ frame for frame or are they going to expand because they have more leeway? Kinda nervous and hesitant because they are overdoing it on the live action remakes here. People are getting frustrated with the lack of creativity on studio's parts. You just jump to what's already animated and use live actors. Cash grabs/ safe bets. Even then a lot of them don't always succeed because you don't listen to the fans when they give feedback or object to things. Hope you do better than Disney and keep the ideology out and tell a great story.
2:30 Inner monologue: So do I train a Dragon or train with this old guy named Luke hiding out in a cave on the island. also what the heil is a Midi-chlorian. ........And yes it's the same island. AKA: Skellig Michael "0_o"
Anyone wonder if theyll keep the eye animation error. So in the scene where hiccup finds toothless shot down, if you watch toothless's eye. It remains closed untill his wing hides it while the camera pans and then his eye is open. This was unintentional and an animation error however when they saw it. It was so cool and ghostly they kept it in (source: directors commentary httyd 1)

it looks soooo good! cant wait for it and then your breakdown! 10 years strong!
Thanks! There will probably be another longer trailer early next year!
Omg if they do the sequel, we can get Kit Harington to actually play live-action Eret! 😄
yep!
I'm excited to see who they're gonna get to play the twins and Astrid imao.
It looks… the same. For a second looking at Toothless I thought I was watching the animated version.

The visual effects seem pretty solid on Toothless, we'll see how the other dragons look!
@@emergencyawesome Indeed so excited for this can't wait 👍🏽

It's mad amazing, yes!!
well of course, if they made something so adorable flawed in anyway, we'd probably burn down the studio.
Crazy how good toothless looks in live-action
Given how good the dragons look on House of the Dragon at this point, I think visual effects have gotten way better in general.

I'd give you a like, but you're on that magic number of likes
So happy they kept Mr. butler, perfect choice
Idk man I don't see how this could ever beat the Original movie. This comes off like a Live Action Disney remake, which is not a compliment.
Exactly what I was thinking. Disney lost some major 💰 Now Dreamworks is going to experience the same thing
Bro beautiful and the beast came out pretty good. So did lion king.

IMO a useless remake. The animated version is still fresh in my mind.
Useless? Its fairly well timed to coincide with Epic Universe opening with an entire HTTYD land. Universal are going to have a huge 2025.

I wish they didn’t canceled the live action ben 10 remake

You should watch "The Black Phone" which stars Mason Thames who plays Hiccup. Very good actor in that movie.
They added a lot of info in the animated series, so to beef up the movies they could include aspects of that.
