If his starts improve, there's no reason why he couldn't challenge the best sprinters in the world.

Robbie Tree 400m is considered a dash, but de grasse doesn't run it, 800m is a dash as well

I like de grasse but his times are not world or Olympic winning times. Now that lyles and coleman are taking over hes pretty much placing for second. Even tho that's not a bad thing. 2nd fastest in the world. Bit the hype that has build up around him to be the next bolt dosent help

Canada always looking for little attention. This guy will be squashed on the world stage with big names like Usain and Gatlin

sir last Soooo running in a race and winning is just a way to get attention? Would you have said that about any of the other countries if they won the race? lol

sir last Gatlin ? Yeah comes back from 2 drug suspensions and running 9.7s at 33 years old . Degrasse is a humble young man not yet reaching his full potential. Hope he proves you wrong.

Julian Antonini Degrasse indeed has a bright future ahead of him and I do like his humble unassuming affect. I hope he can indeed remain grounded. From my vantage point (and I am no sports analyst) I do not see him medal ling in the 100m in Beijing. Sadly, Gatlin (and his drugs) is unbeatable. Asafa Powell seems to be back and the Bolt also seems to be regaining his form, But, let's see what happens on the tracks. But kudos to Degrasse and I wish him well.
