The round thing you saw on the island was just one of the cement mixers for the Hoover dam from the 1930’s. The are supposedly many more in the lake since this was a valley before the dam was built.
That's a great question. We've tried the activity function on an Apple watch, but it does not track distance precisely. We'll let you know if we find one. That would be a great addition to any paddle board trip.
Paddle boarding is a blast. Some people pick it up quickly and for others, it takes time. The key is balance. Watch some of our other videos and see some of our tips. Also--morning is usually best as the water is calmer. But check the wind and make sure it's under 10 mph. Otherwise, it can be a battle. Would you be interested in a group paddle board ride later in September? We're thinking of organizing a Saturday at Willow Beach.
I’ve heard cement was mixed there that was used to make Hoover Dam. Q: how many workers died in the dam construction? A: I don’t know. But the Bible says after death comes judgement. Then we’ll go one of two places. If you’re not sure where you’re headed, you can be. “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” 1 John 5:13 You see, God gave the Ten Commandments to show us how we’re looking. Told lies? Ever stolen anything? Used God’s name as a cuss word? There are seven more but you get the point. “for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” Romans 3:23 What is the big deal with a few sins? Well, it’s a very big deal to a holy righteous God. “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23 And what’s the gift? You’ve probably already heard. “For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 And to accept this gift from God you only need believe. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 That’s right. Jesus paid our fine at the cross. He died for people like you and me. Belief, or faith, or trust is all that’s needed for eternal life! “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:” Romans 5:1 Justified is a fancy word that means “made innocent”. Our sins are completely forgiven when we repent and trust Jesus alone for salvation. “that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:9-11, 13 Don’t wait another moment to call on the Lord for salvation. You never know when one of those big fish in the lake will come up from the deeps and gobble you up. God bless❤ from a local from Hendertucky
One of my favorite couples EVER! Thank you both for sharing. - Susan M.
Thank you!! Hope all is well in NYC.
We recently went here and hiked up to this cement circle. It’s pretty cool inside some neat artwork and a great view
It really is! Thanks for watching.
What a unique channel you have! i’ve been on a paddleboard a few times. I’ll continue watching
Thank you. We love showing folks different places to paddle across the country. We appreciate the subscription.

Thank you. We didn't know what they were. That makes sense. We appreciate the info.
Beautiful day! Is there an app to tell you how far you paddled?

I've never paddleboard before. Is it easy or hard to paddleboard in Lake Mead waters? When is the best time to go when water is calmer?
