    So great to see you got the NA3C and like it!
    I just love mine! Regarding the SplitView: Did you notice that there is a slider in the middle, so you may adjust the split rate!? There are many little details such as Smart Scribe (erasing with scribbling over text and also auto lasso by just circling something) as well as the functions that were already great that make these devices great.
    And: Don't underestimate the cover! The portrait stand mode is great for typing with a Bluetooth keyboard or just viewing a whole page of text vertically. Once you get the hang of folding the triangle in it will be really easy to recreate this stand.
    I am really looking forward to seeing how you will use this and whether you will keep it.
    Thank you for another great video!

      That's exactly how I want to use the case/stand and I just need to sit down and play with it. I'd forgotten about the scribble to erase, though I know I've seen it demo'd - thanks for the reminder!

    I recommend the Staedtler Jumbo stylus. It’s wood, and thick, and feels so much better in your hand. The eraser is sort of soft and rubber. Another option is to get these little coloured foam pencil grips at Staples (wet them to slide them on your stylus, they will dry out in a minute or two) - for me the stylus then feels great. I now use them on all kinds of mechanical pencils and pens!

    I want one of these types of devices to write my novel and stories on. That means editing but none of these devices to that in the native app. Unless I doanload an app that can take both a stylus and typed text...

    This was a great look at the Note Air 3C, thank you! I currently own the Kindle Scribe and I love it, but would like a color e-ink device and this is what I am considering. And I agree that the color does not have to be brilliant when reading or taking color notes, but it certainly seems to be enough of a difference from black & white to make it quite useful. May I ask you please... are you able to copy text from a Kindle book and paste it to a notebook? I can't do that with the Scribe, but I would make great use of that feature if it were available. Also, can you annotate directly onto any Kindle book, whether e-pub or pdf format? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! I love your channel and just subscribed... thank you again and Happy New Year to you and yours!

    How does it compare to supernote? I’d like a decide I could write on, read on (books and textbooks) and highlight text, as well as easily transfer my handwriting into text. Thank you ❤

    • @WritersLike
      @WritersLike 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      This can do all that with the added options of the google play app store. Supernote can also do that but few app options and no light. The split screen option on the Note Air 3C is pretty great for notetaking!

      That was the only surprise for me with the Note Air 3C. I am 54 and my eyes are definitely aging (reading glasses, have to use a flashlight for everything). I returned my Note Air 3C because the writing feel was crap, but the screen was great. Even with the front lighting off I could see well enough with normal room lighting. I was shocked since I have a Kobo ereader and rarely use it with no lighting turned on. It's that 300DPI I think that really makes a difference.

    How is organizing notes with boox? I’m new to note taking (I’ve only had paperwhite as far as eink)

    • @WritersLike
      @WritersLike 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's okayyyyy. I'm still learning how it all works. There's a way to add tags to notebooks, but it's not so clear how to use them once they're added. For example, you can search for a tag within a notebook, but I can't see how to search across notebooks for a tag. I don't need a ton of organizational options, but people who do would probably be happiest with Supernote.

      @@WritersLike yeah, leaning towards SN, though there’s a local store that sells boox, but I’m also looking at a6x2.
      Though since I’m not too familiar with, it seems, coming from my perspective that a6x2 may be a bit limited. Like I was hoping to use obsidian or something.
      I’m not a super organized person, so I’m not entirely clear how I will use these devices but I want to be ,ore organized, I do take notes when I’m working. I think these will be useful to me.
      Side note, I don’t think I mind the darker screen, but the battery life..I guess I can live with it, but 3c is also more expensive, and SN has that good reputation

      @WritersLike 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Cons2911Honestly, I think for people basically looking to go paperless and have all their notes in one place, you can't really go wrong with any of these devices. I don't know anything about Obsidian, but the Boox line is the least limited in terms of using apps and processes, as far as I can tell.

      @@WritersLike boox has access to android app. I imagine most of them won’t work bec of how eink is slower vs lcd, and I heard writing in other apps are laggy, very laggy in some based on comments. Maybe you bought the one I returned. I returned it pristine.
    Why I returned it.
    - too heavy (but not awful)
    - the writing experience is crap
    I am a writer. The device would be fine for school or for taking notes. Probably. But for a serious writer you need better than this.
    I write longhand first, then port to text. I test drove this with ten pages for my WIP novel.
    The writing feel is akin to a dry erase marker. Not good enough. It gets a grade of D-.
    The process of porting ten pages to text was tedious, messy, but reasonably accurate. I give that a grade of C. Passing but only marginally.
    This year I will be buying a Supernote and giving that a go. They pitch it as a device designed for writers, so we'll see.

      I returned my Air 3 this morning for this reason! I have so much writing I'm working on, ongoing chaptered stories and outlines. I wanted it all in one place so my progressively worsening eyes can have an easier time. But it cannot edit. And the app I use cannot be downloaded on Air3. Moving tens of thousands of work to another all for the sake of using Air3? No chance!
      If the Supernote would let me edit my text, I'm buying it. I'm looking for a word processor with an eye-friendly screens, basically.
