Got the RS Edge 4 and then just got the 14" Harbor Freight to fill in the rest. Auxbeam has some impressive lights and I even bought their 6 light switch to control the lights, but if you read the reviews, they have issues at times for water getting behind the lens. I have not heard that compliant at all in the HF offerings. That sealed the deal for me. Your other test on freezing and rolling over the light...proves my point. Inexpensive and more than enough for most people trail needs. Harbor Freight is really offering some quality off road products.
Got it and yes the HF is proven to be tough, as far as Auxbeam condensation, I have also heard of it but never had them on my own lights for years. great choice either way.
Thank you! Yes, after this comparison I would agree now that the combo pattern would give a closer pattern to auxbeam, however, before starting the test, I expected the spot patter to be similar given that the auxbeam doesn't have any additional lens pattern other than clear smooth spot lens. Definitely interesting results. I will also be doing a comparison of the spot vs combo between HF RS4 lights.
@@4WDisLife Nice, Auxbeam is now selling amber lenses for the vmax series. Also I’m looking forward to the Novsight Cyber 6 😃. I might again switch my bumper lights 😅
in your previous vids u did not like the auxbeam cuz of cheaper material - has that changed w the newer lights? Im looking for fog light for motorcycle 3inch ones. have u done a review yet
I did test the Auxbeam 6 inch 360 pro in one of the recent videos and also have a pair of 9inch 360pro tested before. However, no lp9 yet, could try to get one from friend.
Much appreciation for the comparison. While I run DD for the street, I always look for decent bargain lights off road… Auxbeam it is for my next purchase.
Have to say i think i would be ok with trading a few hundred feet of distance for a fatter beam profile a bit closer to the vehicle... Thanks for the review...
I thought about it, but I wanted to show case the pattern difference between lights and I personally think a single light comparison gives a more straight forward idea of the difference, where two lights can have pattern overlaps and that will make it hard to tell. But thanks for the idea!
The budget light market has really come a long way! Good for us consumers!
Indeed, when can I borrow your LP9 to test against my Auxbeam 360 pro 9 inch? 😄
@@4WDisLifeyeahhhhhhh aim waiting for that video

Nice review as always, the best contender for these Auxbeam would be the HB spot/flood combo.

Depending on the models, I love their 360 pro, 5dpro and the vmax models. Xpro is a bit limited compared to Baja and harbor freight
What about the Spot/Flood combo Edge light that Harbor Freight sells?
Great point! I plan to make a comparison video between the spot only and spot/flood of the rs4. Should be out sometime during thanksgiving.
If you can find someone with a LP9 and 9in auxbeam 360pro that'd be a very interesting comparison.

Thanks for the kind words, I’d say the v max series is definitely one of the best for the it’s size.

same here, maybe the combo pattern of the RS4 would yield a similar pattern vs the auxbeam v max here. Thank you for commenting.
Any way for you to add a spot on your light test rig for the second light? It just doesn't feel like a proper rest only using a single light...

HF for da win.
They are great lights for sure.
Another great review!
Thank you sir
