Beautiful Christmas decorations. It's like stepping into another world. Burlington Arcade is wonderful, and the lights outside the Ralf Lauren store are in a league of their own, outstanding. LOVED LOVED LOVED the singers near the end of the video singing Away In A Manger, their voices and tones complimented each other wonderfully. Well done on the video. Just beautiful to watch. ☃

WOW! Congrats 🎉London for putting on an absolutely amazing beautiful Christmas tour display of lights and Christmas trees and decorated shops and shop window displays . The animal displays squirrels 🐿️deer, owls 🦉 alligator 🐊 having its nails painted are just some that made me smile and laugh , wonderful displays for children . I loved the charm of the shop arcade with the carpet rolled out to walk on and lined with beautiful Christmas trees 🎄 🎄🎄🎄🎄, that part of London hasn’t changed I loved the choir singing “Away in a Manger “ I have always loved London ✨ Thank you for showing ✨🙏♥️🎄
Is it this busy all over London for Christmas shopping?? Because I live in Vancouver and we NEVER get crowds like that except for Boxing Day and our American shopholiday Black Friday. Wow it looks beautiful ❤❤❤ thank you, I haven't been in the UK since the 80s this is just such a joy to watch 😊
yes it is. closer to christmas it's two or three times as busy. hundreds of thousands of people staring upwards with their phones, almost impossible to walk any where!

This was an unexpected pleasant surprise WW and I'm kicking myself for missing most of the premiere, especially as it includes the Burlington Arcade and F&M. Two places very dear to my heart as my very dear Mum and I would visit there at Christmas. How I wish I was in the Live Chat for all of that. I'm rewatching now with huge emotions and memories of being at F&M with my Mum. We would visit every floor as well as admire the outside. And of course a walk through the Burlington Arcade. Thank You for this.

@WatchedWalker Yes WW, this area in particular means a great deal to me and very emotional for me indeed beyond words. Incredibly, Mum and I would visit the Burlington Arcade and F&M after attending an event at London Olympia and then making our way to Northumberland Ave to catch the Classic London Bus open air Christmas lights tour for 90 mins. It was only after all of that we would head to the Burlington Arcade and F&M and visit all floors, plus admire the window displays. After that we'd catch another bus to Harrods to browse inside during their last hour or so, plus admire their window displays from the outside and the same for Harvey Nichols down the street. Then either bus or underground back to the car in Hammersmith and drive back to Canterbury late at night, having driven to London that same morning!

I noticed a strong police presence , and even some in suits with earpieces. Any reason why , or just because of the crowds ? I loved the mouse at FM painting the alligators toenails ! :)
@davidcunningham3993 I'm not sure if the police were there as crowds would be gathering, as that could be a target, or if they had prior warning! 🤷♂️ And yes, that mouse was cute!
Do they not celebrate Thanksgiving in England? Or is that only here in USA? Because they went straight to Christmas, while here we normally wait till after Thanksgiving for the lights n such.
Thanksgiving is us in the US celebrating our freedom from England , so no , they don't celebrate it. Perhaps they SHOULD celebrate getting rid of us , though. :)

The beginning part that covered F&M and the Burlington Arcade were extremely emotional, since my very dear Mum and I visited every year for the past few Christmases. Including visiting every floor of F&M. It was lovely to see all this again through WW's wonderful video but at the same time quite sad due to the loss of my very dear Mum back in July. I do at least fully intend to see these places again next Christmas, as well as many of the other Christmas sights in London. Of course I also fully intend to visit London throughout the new year, including for various events at London Olympia. I'm actually excited at the expansion of London Olympia, which reminds me - I must go online and look up the timeline for the completion of that project. The whole issue of providing medical care needs to be addressed. But for any poiltical party such a move is not a vote winner. Therefore, the waste of money continues.

This is London so it's not government money, it's money made in London, also many of the decorations are paid for by the stores.
