    Your video was good, I just purchased the same coffee maker and followed each step like you showed but I didn't get any water coming out and got made with having to do all this that I returned it the next day and was not happy with it. I had an old 10 Cup Bruin for 22 years and it finally broke. It was the best coffee maker for me with only a switch on and off instead of all the other Buttons on the new ones. Unfortunately they no longer make that one but I would buy it in a heart beat and was perfect for seniors, simple and doesn't take up a lot of counter space.

    I don't like the idea of leaving it on all the time to keep the water hot . That could be a fire hazard . I wish i knew that before buying one or i wouldn't have bought it . Plus the water just sits in the tank overnight so it's not really fresh . I've always heard the best brewed coffee is from using fresh cold water.

    If you can’t tell if light is on, there’s a problem with the light. It took two times calling bunn before a lady said No there is a problem and sent out a new one.

    Followed all your steps and no brew. Did you forget to add yet a third caraf of water to force the brew?
    I'm confused, I did all your steps and the tank got hot but still no coffee? What did you miss?

    • @JustADad

      This is just the setup. when you make a pot of coffee you will be pouring in more water to make the pot of coffee
      this was just the part that fills the tank inside the coffee maker so it will be ready when you want to make a pot of coffee

    Do I have to leave the flap open all the time?

    • @JustADad
      @JustADad  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No just open it when you pour the water in and then close it. it can remain close till your next pot of coffee.

    You're actually supposed to wait 3 minutes before you put the second ten cup pot of water in

    So it wastes water and electricity just to brew a pot of coffee 5 minutes faster? Most modern coffee pots have simple timers so your coffee can be made when you wake up,without all the waste,descaling,and setup procedures. Dear bunn,quit trying to reinvent the wheel.

      You exaggerate. You don't have to descale the bunn any more than you do any other coffeemaker so that's not an issue. I've never had any descaling issues with my bunn coffeemaker and I only descale it 2-4 times a year which is probably way under what's recommended but *Never* had any issues. And how much electricity and water is the bunn really wasting? It probably costs me $3 a year to keep it turned on all the time. Who cares about three dollars? And it's only "wasting" as you put it a very small amount of water that, again, only costs me a VERY minimal amount of money. The true water waste is too long of showers, leaving the bathroom sink water run while brushing teeth or Shaving, things like that. And last, bunn makes OUTSTANDING coffee. The best I've ever had. Subjective? Absolutely. But I'm sure you have your favorite coffeemaker as well and that's fine. A lot of other modern coffeemakers suck though. Just sayin. Their coffee tastes terrible. I'm sure some other coffeemakers make great tasting coffee but I don't know about them. Ninja maybe? Among others.. I just gotta defend my bunn coffeemaker that's all

      One last thing, how big of a deal is it to prep the bunn the night before with water in the carafe and coffee in the filter ready to go to where all you have to do when you wake up is pour water into the bunn? Is there some nifty new coffeemakers out there that can do all of that for you (daily) without you having to lift a finger including measuring and putting the coffee in to the filter, and funnel, and measuring and pouring the water into the carafe, that then makes the coffee for you? I understand there are coffeemakers that can Make coffee for you at a set time but you still have to Manually measure out the water and coffee and manually put the coffee in the filter then in the funnel then set the timer - in advance.. the night before..

      @@houseatreides6683 I followed their elaborate setup steps. Its ridiculous to keep water hot endlessly for no reason. This bunn doesnt make coffee but a few minutes faster than my mr coffee. I previously had a 30 cup percolator style pot made by West bend thatd brew 30 cups in 10 minutes. Either of which you simply added water and coffee followed by a switch flicking. Amazingly there was no 12 step easy setup process necessary like the bunn calls for. My sister loves her bunn and promised I'd love mine once I got it set up. I did not live mine. The coffee didnt taste any better,it wastes more electricity than leaving a 100 watt light running 24/7,and anytime it got unplugged,moved,or cleaned you had to go back through that stupid 12 step easy startup procedure. I threw mine in the trash.😁👍

      @@ciphercode2298 there are bunn coffeemakers out there that come with huge coffeepots (carafe) that can Make all the coffee you can handle so why did you purchase this particular model with the average size carafe? Also you're complaining about wasting a few bucks in electricity per year to keep some water heated but you paid over 100 dollars on a bunn that you then threw in the trash. I can't argue with you on your taste preferences. You like what you like and that's fine but you're the first person I've ever heard say mr. Coffee tastes as good as bunn coffee or tastes like bunn coffee I think is what you said
