- We went down to Moab for a 5 day riding adventure on a KTM 990 Adventure and KTM 640 Adventure. We weren't really interested in doing long, scenic trips like White Rim. We wanted the challenge of riding these big bikes where normally only dirt bikes go.
There are 3 parts to the video:
Part 1 - Slick Rock Bike trail, Porcupine Rim 4x4 trail, Hurrah Pass / Lockhart Basin
Part 2 - Sovereign single track
Part 3 - Sevenmile Rim 4x4 trail, Merrimac and Monitor Buttes, Desolation towers
Great to see what both of these bikes - a mid-weight and heavy-weight ADV - are capable of (in skilled hands). Am picking up a 640 ADV in the next few weeks and looking forward to learning its wide-ranging abilities. At this point, I would have only tried this track on my KLX 300. Nice job, fellas!
Nice and complicated second part ... 990 heavier by those places
Good film

thanks! it was a great ride... sovereign was my favorite area
The 990 rider makes it look so easy. I ride a 990 Adventure and it is difficult to maneuver it at slow speeds.
The 990 made that hill look too easy. Both great riders.
Good vids.
990 is my next bike.
Like to see the capability of the bike and rider.
F Yeah!! is right. That is so awesome to muscle and finesse those big bikes through that stuff. That is extremely technical...hell just watching the vid I can't pick a line.My pucker factor would have way too high on this and I'd have to have a Medivac copter get me out.
Awesome ride guys! Any idea what the sound track is for this video? I noticed you posted a Russian music video in the first part but I'm not hearing the same track as the one in this video. Thanks!
Wow nice!.
I hope KTM is paying you well, to beat-up those sweet bikes.
What kind of tires do you have on the 990 adv??
Very nice riding, I wouldn't want to take those bikes on there, not because it couldn't be done, it's not the right tool for the job.
Would you recommend this bike ?
I live close to yukon and dealers here 400kms away
Dunlop 908RR on the rear and D606 on the front
what is the conclusion about The 640..?!is it recommend it..?#$
