KCSE Winners & Losers

Last year it was Pokot's Wei Wei secondary school... this year the name Maranda High School shone through the just released KCSE results like a star in the night sky. The school situated in Bondo, Siaya County is one of the lesser known provincial schools that shook the usual hierarchy of national schools that dominate the top performing schools, emerging fourth best nationally and producing some of the best students. Alliance High School dominated the rankings that however saw Starehe Boys Centre and Mang'u High School having to settle for slots outside the top ten. Abdi Osman tells the tale of those who shone and those who did not.
