Might night be perfect... but to get started with a tone like this: Look up the pickup switch settings on your guitar and put it in the position with neck pickup only (on a stratocaster, this is the 5th position) On the amp, less is more! You should turn the gain up to around 25% and let the volume knob do the rest of the work (can obviously tweak with it a bit if you think it sounds better with more gain) Add a small bit of reverb and tweak the treble/bass until you like it You don't need any pedals, most amps should do just fine!

Im still learning chords and finger placements and even though i searched all over the internet for the chord names i dont get an exact sound resemblance, Ive checked my guitar strings and they are in tune and are new. The guitar is not damaged or anything. I have steel strings on an acoustic but If you can, write the finger placements for the chords, that's all i asked. Btw, liked the video, great stuff.
Maybe since youre just starting your fingers arent strong enoch yet to make the chords all sound proper, if evrrythings in tune then just keep practicing
Actually I was using steel strings on an acoustic guitar but thought better to learn it from Nylon strings still, at least till I get the hang of the bar chords with the finger placements.
Ah now that i read your comment again i think maybe youre not getting the sound you want because youre using a different fingering of the chords in this video.
Yeah it might be that too, considering i cant confirm the finger locations. I know the chord names now but It's still difficult to find proper images of where to put my fingers and what to strum
For the first chord, 4th fret E string, 5th fret D string, 5th fret G string and 4th fret B string Second: Bar on the first fret, 3rd fret A string and then if you want to, you can hammer onto the G string 3rd fret Third: bar on the 6th fret and an A on the 8th fret, again hammering is optional Last chord: Bar on 6th, but pick the D 8th fret and the B 8th fret That's how I play it! Hope it helps you out, and remember, getting the right sound can be extremely tough! It just takes practice!
