I’ve ridden a lot of kinds of off road motorcycles. Currently enjoying the hell out of a 450 Honda race quad. But I don’t think ANY of the bikes I’ve ridden left the impression and thrills and memories like ripping all over the place on my 80 cc motocross 2 stroke bikes. Just an absolute blast to be 15 and ripping on your dirt bike while the other kids are pedaling

Agreed & I reckon the company's would make alot of money from doing so, cause old school bikes are the best in my opinion, not taking anything away from the new bikes that are loaded with technology

Yes chris, those were the best days of your life and my best days too chris ..i am 72 years old chris and never thought that all people would stop learning . And all people do not even have the curiosity to ask any thing as to why they can not learn ..and to add to frustration beyond anything i have ever seen or experienced that most people believe known liars . And who are the scientists the liars refer to every day to back up their continuous lies? Im never told the names nor allowed to see any scientists .. but all people believe the liars when they use the magic word " scientists " i graduated from college in 1970 with an associates degree in applied science
. Upon graduation day i received a handshake and told "congratulations , you now have the tools to begin your education " . In 1974 in went

@@ianrobinson525 no they will never make as much money as they do selling high dollar disposable 4 strokes and claiming they makes more horsepower and handle better because they are heavier ..remember two strokes internally make boost beyond the air pressure that is impossible for any naturally aspirated 4 stroke to become supercharge as the rpms go up to as high as 14,000 rpm were a 2 stroke makes boost at around 5,500 rpm and continue to make more and more boost as rpms go up . And do it in far less time as it takes a 4 stroke to spin 14,000 rpm to make max hp when all two strokes are at max boost max torque and max hp in way less time and much lower rpms = way less time it takes a four stroke to buzz out way beyond any two stroke rpms so you see a 4 stroke that is big enough in displacement to match the hp of the 3 to 4 times smaller two stroke that does this in approximately one half the time it takes the 4 stroke to buzz out putting the little two stroke in first place while the bigger 4 strokes is forced to take 2nd . And 2nd place is only the first loser.
Example the 2022 carbed husqvarna TC 125 makes an honest 40 hp with a carburator almost as big around as the piston that only displaces a 125cc ( 7.5 cu.in.) that = 5.33 hp per cubic inch displacement vs a brand new efi 450 four stroke that turns all buzzed out some 14,000 rpm guaranteeing failure makes around 44 hp and weighs 244 pounds And has over 100 moving parts inside the engine that is 44 hp ÷ 27.461 cu.in = 450cc =1.6 hp per cu.in. displacement

i remember this bike well!! Way back then, the school bus would drop off Darrell at his house. He would then jump on this exact bike and immediately kick it to life and race the bus to the end of the street. I stayed on the bus for another 30 minutes to my house out in the boonies of TX. it was the coolest thing!

That is the sought after weapon for the Marty Tripes 100cc Works Revenge race. Have a feeling that bike has been wheelied over at some time in it's life because usually when I see the rear fender up that high, the frame has been tweaked in the back from goin over. Other than that, the bike is sweet.

In the late 70's and early 80's air-cooled Yamaha 2 strokes were boss and the bikes to have. This YZ100 was a big part of that (had a 100cc) class back then. Only thing that came close later was the KX105. 2021 KX100 is pretty good.
Great all around bikes and lots of fun for trail riding or mx. Great bikes and can hang with the bigger bikes. YZ100 was a very common bike back then, but now are pretty hard to get and this one has some serious mods.

I owned and raced a 1982 YZ100J but they were white here in Australia. It was a great era and that bike won me a lot of races and championships. The bike in this video is the YZ100K. Basically exactly the same as the J, Yamaha didn't really do any wild changes between the J and K, so I race my J for many years and it was bullet proof. Wish I could get my hands on one but they all seem to have disappeared off the planet sadly.

It's funny how the 83 yz80 was water-cooled like the 83 125 yet the 83 yz100 was still air-cooled . I think the air-cooled two stokes were very reliable under all rpm ranges as far as being able to ride them all year round without changing the piston and Rings .I received year round trail ripping in mine before I had the cylinder honed and new piston and Rings. Their perfect for trail ripping

Damn, that bike is gorgeous. I'd love to take it for a spin. My Uncle's Bike looked the exact same in a 125, and she was very fast....Not As fast as my 93 250, but still damn fast. 😁
