Arc wasn’t all that good, but we got Fusion Summoning, the return of Yuga, and a epic looking fusion between Sevens Road Magician and Transamu Rainac.

I really don't get why are they trying to say Go rush is Sevens' past. Literally nothing fits that logic, not only the Sougetsu family has a different principle/history and we have never heard of a Matsuba town in sevens but also the aliens are norm in Go rush which is not a thing in Sevens and Luke and Nail variants are literally aliens which makes it very hard for them to be the ancestors of Luke and Nail If they are trying to imply that. Not to mention If It is the past how can Yuga even return to his time since he already changed the future massively. I am hoping that It is Yuga's misunderstanding that It is the past because even for Bridge yugioh I have a hard time understanding why would they try to go that route when alternative universe possibility is right there and makes so much sense. The duel is cool though, my current favorite in Go rush for sure
it's not like it's just Sevens' past. its a split timeline caused by Yuga going back in time at the end of Sevens, which can explain the differences like aliens.
It kinda makes more sense for it to be a split timeline in the future, not the past. Cause why are there older Sevens characters then? What kind of timeline shenanigans would you have to accomplish to make a bunch of characters be born farther back than what they were originally? Even as a different species? Also Rush Duels do not exist without Yuga, so since it’s the past everyone in Go Rush should be playing Master Duels. Yuga should know that and be at least somewhat confused as to why his creation is in the past. It doesn’t really make sense. That and Go Rush established early on that Yudias’ disk was an older model implying this was a sequel. All I will say regardless of what it is, no matter how screwed up it is, at least Luke is finally a villain lol even as an alien.

You see, there are aliens, advanced technology, interstellar wars, secret government organizations, capitalism, time travel, some straight up magic that can bring fictional characters into existence, positive and negative energy being the foundation of this universe and The Luge is the singularity of negative energy, which is why people turn to ice when they read his manga (it's very bad), but you can apparently reverse the process with curry bread.
There's a lot to unpack and I must they I'm glad this arc managed to stick the landing despite very, very rough middle section.
Yeah I thought it was a sequel, then an alternate universe, and now I dunno what this is anymore.
