At 11:50 this premetro section is scheduled to be converted to metro. Originally planned for 2024-25. But because of construction difficulties further south probably delayed till 2027-2028. The dead-end tram terminus is scheduled to remain. The canopy above the open pit entrance is a little overkill, but the politicians wanted an "icon" for an otherwise ugly square.
Did not realize that the premetro tunnel was so much deeper than everything or that Metro 2/6 was so shallow. I'd have thought it the opposite, especially since at Lemonnier the tunnel actually slopes UP from Gare du Midi. BTW, were the split-/bi-level platforms on the premetro section so that they wouldn't have to raise the whole level when they converted it to metro? I've been confused about this.

I'm pretty sure it will still be here otherwise where will tram 10 and 4 be running aswell it's not gonna be done till 2034-2040
