Buyer BEWARE! The "instructions" for this kit are terrible. Lots of important details missing and BimmerTech support is not helpful. Kit physically cannot be installed as directed. BimmerTech will answer questions AFTER you know what doesn't work and after you have wasted a day trying to follow their crap instructions. It took me 3 attempts to get this mess to work and I had to buy additional connectors. The videos are misleading and installation will F-up other systems like emergency call, navi maps, stereo controls, turn signal sound, etc., etc. They make is look so easy, but IT IS NOT as simple as the videos show. Save yourself about 9 hours of frustration and grief and don't buy this junk. PS, WTF BMW for not making remote start a factory feature in a 2020 x3?
I've just installed this in my g30 (UK). Works a treat and just in time for winter. Also has a couple of other perks, such as windows rolling up automatically when locking, driver seat auto moving on ignition like the steering wheel, etc. Things to note: This is a manual remote start. Cannot be integrated with the car's preconditioning timer. If your car is RHD like mine, remove the accelerator pedal; only 1 screw. It will make re-pinning easier. The manual provided does the pinning in a different order to this video. I suggest following the video. It does it from furthest to closest. Prep as much as you can; do the keyfob box, unclip all the new connectors beforehand and have a good look at them. You'll be lying on one side over the door sill. Lay cushions and mats down. Installation is uncomfortable on your ribs, Double check every pin! This is not a job you want to troubleshoot or reinstall. and lastly, check the weather if you're doing it outside.
Do you install this in Poland? I would pay for it and would drive to your company in PL. but german are problematic because i haered that this not work in german cars? Is that true?
How about a remote start installation for a seven series late 2012 onward ? There are installation videos for other series. Isn’t the seven the flagship ? No videos?
i have the module installed tomy f85 and is working well. my concern the distance of starting the car with the remote . It said that it can a distance of 200 feet but i have been trying that distance of 200ft 100ft and even 20feet its not starting the car. I have to be at least 10ft or closer to work. Is there a way to correct that?? Because my work area is at least 150ft away from the car and it doesn't make sense if you are almost 10-15ft away before the remote start works. Hope you can help me spaecially winter is almost here.

The key installed in the car has no power on its own, so there's no chance someone could get in and drive off without having the second key - the activator - on them.
Is it possible to control remote start through an app? I live in a building and my car is parked in the garage or sometimes outside, I'd like to be able to use remote start from an app so by the time I get to my car the climate settings are on.

Our system uses OE BMW signal for starting the car for safety reasons. Try changing battery in your key as when it runs out the range of key diminish.

Unfortunately, there's no app for our remote start retrofit for now.
Go for some other company remote start they remote starter which can be operated with apps
