    When you said it was heavy I had to realize that it would be in comparison to an ebike. I suspect you don't have great experience of scooters and motorbikes and that is what made your review so useful. To any newbie to commuter scooters I think your review is a must see. Excellent comments on the accessories and running costs too.
    I would like to add to your comments that the 16" wheels make for a much pleasanter ride compared to some of the smaller wheel scooters, making riding over irregularities in the road less jarring and smoother.
    Thanks for a Great review.

    I bought one in April which was a 2011 and a non runner. As I like to refurbish bikes I started taking this bike to pieces and found most screws and bolts rusty and needed replacing but cheap on ebay. The bike had done 20,000 miles, i removed the engine and decided to shot blast the frame, then Red Oxided, Grey Undercoat then brushpainted it twice. Now looks like a good bike. Refrbishing the front forks, new seals etc, brakes, new seals etc, needs new rear shock absorbers. Now it's starting to look like a solid bike that's going to last.

      Sound cool! The spark plugs just failed on mine after 2000km :-S Not sure it will make it to 20,000 miles!

    It's a fantastic scoot for the price, and by the way it is one of the lightest 125 cc scooters you can buy, so don't understand your complaint about it being "heavy".

      It's an observation for people who have not used a scooter before, that it is heavy to manoeuvre compared to an ebike.

      @@TheCheapBikeChannel Just seen this after 3 years. The Tweet is just about the lightest 125 cc scooter still available. It's a feather weight compared to other 125 cc scooters. I get what you are trying to express, but comparing the weight of an e-bike consisting of a tiny frame, hub motor and battery with a plush-seated, sophisticated motor scooter with a 125 cc engine is kind of ridiculous. As for the battery complaint - all motorcycles will have a battery problem unless you keep them trickle charged, or ride them regularly, especially in winter. I do agree however that most e-bikes are ludicrously over-priced and a complete con that attract gullible people wishing to be "green".

    106 kg is one of the lightest 125 cc motorbikes/scooters I know :) I think this video would have benefited a lot from a bit of research first :P You lost me there. I have used some similar scooters and the weight is so low, if you topple over then you shouldn't even ride a bicycle and definitely should walk instead. My 140 kg 300 cc dual sport feels like a heavier mountain bike.
    "Especially when you got someone on the back of it, if they don't jump off quickly enough when you try to move it somewhere it can topple over very easily"
    I don't quite understand what you meant here. The pillion should not be sitting on the bike when you are just pushing it around in the first place. If you also sit on the bike and you stop at a red light, let's say, the pillion shouldn't jump off the bike. They don't even have to take their feet off the pegs. They have to remain seated and legs up on the pegs.
    Also, you needed the 1000 km service because the first 1000 is the break-in period. So that's when the most amount of debris, metal particles get into the oil. If you keep using it like that, you are scraping down your engine from within, causing shorter lifetime overall. This review is getting worse and worse by the minute. At this point I let out a small groan of cringe.

    I have a Vespa and was looking for a bike to use daily, keeping my Vespa.
    I thought the Honda SH125 was a good option due to the dual abs. The Medley and Liberty seem good options too. Not keen on buying a bike made in china.

      Compared to an electric bike it's heavy :) It weighs 109kg without accessories, but if it starts to fall to the side it feels impossible to rebalance

    don't mean to be a **** but 5 litres per 100km( 60 miles) is 45-50 mpg. That's utter shit for a 125cc, my car gets more than that

    • @RonaiHenrik
      @RonaiHenrik ปีที่แล้ว

      That's probably inaccurate. These 125 cc, 4T bikes should get around 2,5 L/100 km. If it gets 5 L/100km, something is absolutely wrong. Just for comparison, my 300 cc bike gets around 3,5 L/100km on avg. I used to own a much higher powered 125 cc than this scooter (it was 15 hp instead of 8,5) and the worst mileage I managed to get with pillion and absolutely wringing its neck up the High Tatras (Sk) I still got 3,2 L/100 km.
