- This is the T-Rex Mudhoney II and the latest version of T-Rex's classic overdrive/distortion pedal.
The Mudhoney II takes the basic formula of the original Mudhoney distortion pedal and doubles it to put two overdrive/distortion effects into a single box. The Mudhoney II offers two identical channels each with their own footswitch and set of controls consisting of large level and gain knobs, a smaller tone knob that lights up when the channel is active and a two-way normal/boost switch that selects either moderate or high-gain for the channel.
The T-Rex Mudhoney II covers a lot of overdrive terrain-sounding sweet everywhere along the path between lower gain overdrive and full distortion. With the added flexibility of the second channel the Mudhoney II is a great bang for the buck.
We are demo'ing the T-Rex Mudhoney II on a Bogner Goldfinger 54 with a Bogner 1x12 cabinet.

good review. I have this pedal - it is superb. I use it through a good quality solid state amp (DV Mark) and the whole lot sounds like a very good valve rig.

This would be awesome if u were able to stack the drives and/ or had an additional boost switch… looking at getting TC Nova drive and/ or Wampler gear box specifically 4 the stacking capability.This is a pretty decent sounding piece o gear doe👍🏾
when you use boost on 1 of the 2 channels and set the 2 channels the same, you basically have that boost switch

Hi , happy new year ! Sorry to bother you but I look for a warm 2 channel OD pedal ( simple use, not so many pots!) to play all form blues, crunch to classic rock ! I have now a Jetter gold standard ( after a Diamond MK3 with a providence sov2 )love the 2 channels but am not so happy with it in my Fender deluxe reverb with my es 335 or Les Paul P90 reissue ....Thanks for you help and answer , kindest regards from France
I got one recently, I think it is a great pedal and cheap too.
Nice sustain but for the fuzziness.Maybe good with treble down?
Can you not stack the distortions?
NO you cannot...I was under the impression that you could..and after I bought one I found out that you can't...nobody talks about this part and idk why...you click one side and it kills the other no matter which order you use...I totally thought they could be stacked,that's why I bought it.
