I a bit old school and I like products that do what they say they will do I bought a expensive titanium pot that didn’t hold as much as it said it would and not even close with the lid on. I glad you appreciate the effort and diligence I put into a review regards Mike
@@kisbushcraftdownunder I really liked it and it helped me making my mind! Gonna order mine on amazon today. local store does not carry the color I like.
Thanks for the detailed review. I wanted to buy a yeti mug as a Christmas gift but couldn’t find enough information on this one online. I think I’ll give it a try.
Great review of The Yeti. I’ve owned my Maglid Yeti for 5 years and though it’s beat up it goes from hot coffee (I must add ice to make it drinkable) to a mixed drink in the evening. (I can’t add too much ice or it will be to cold to drink). Been thinking about buying a Stronghold cup. After this review I will pick one up. Thanks!
I never understood why they stopped selling Hilux in the USA they probably thought it to small I drove its bigger brother while in Alaska and it didn't do anything more than mine except drinking gas
Brilliant! Cheers for the great video, very informative and thank you for showing us the different lids as well as how leak proof they are. I respect how organized and thorough you are with all the notes and tools you use to showcase the product. I definitely will recommend your video to people looking to buy this product but that are a bit on the fence about it. You got yourself a new sub. Keep doing what you're doing.
A bit of real testing goes along way and when a product meets or exceeds my expectations its great and when it doesn't I am free to say so because I am not in the makers pocket. If my videos help people make good decisions and get enjoyment I happy 😃regards Mike
@@kisbushcraftdownunder I bought it from the Yeti Canadian website, the rubber thing on the lid wasn't on right lol, whatever that's called. So it's good now
Thanks for your test. I'm interested in what material is used for the interior, how is it rated as non-toxic? Also, for ease of cleaning, especially around the rim and drinking section. Thanks.👍
I'm disappointed with mine. I got to use for water and to fit in my cup holder in car. Problem is, the mouth opening doesn't accommodate a straw! They need to fix that!
Great video ! Thank you for your insight. I admire and love how thorough you are. I really respect the note taking, the time taken for the video and again, I am impressed of how well and seriously this video was made. I know which channel to look for next time I need serious advice and testing on a product. Thank you so much and please keep doing what you are doing!
When I review something I try and be as through as possible so viewers can make the best decisions based on facts and not someone who is paid to talk up a product regards Mike
I have noticed a difference in ice too. I thought ice was ice . But bag ice lasts alot longer in my yeti than stuff i freeze in refrig. Just something i noticed.
Ice has lots of variables and ice vending machines are a big one a few near me vary from -5 Celsius to -18 Celsius a big difference when you are putting a few 5 kilogram bags in to a Cooler say a YETI 45 at room temp will consume 2 Kilograms of ice on its own, 24 beers at room temp will use up another 3 Kilograms of ice. Air space is a cold killer as far as ice retention is concerned. I load up my 45 with drinks and use a 5 kilogram bag as a sacrifice when I ready to head away I use home made 3 kilogram blocks and fill any spaces with party ice that gives me four days of cold food and drinks even in summer temps hitting 40 Celsius
I try to give detailed reviews with as many facts that I can and test products in real world situations so viewers can make a good choices regards Mike

mine leaks when i fill it with coffee, is there something i’m doing wrong ?
From the rim seal or the magnetic slide ? I would check they are in place and clean 🧼

With the lid on a fraction under 7 & a half inches
