I ordered the black diamond back in December. Still waiting. But honestly I think for fire roads and dirt roads this trim is going to be perfect. Maybe no rock crawling..but then again I’m not the one who’s going to take my almost 45k truck and do crazy stuff in it. Great review! Much appreciated a non Sasquatch review

Very, very excited to get my Bronco. I have a 2 Door Black Diamond with the 7 Speed on the way, and Sedona is in my backyard, so I can't wait to hit some of the trails.

Just put down on a 4 door black diamond, same color and 7 speed, with a hard top. Already built but just waiting for a chip. Pretty pumped

Nice, I’m getting 2 door later this year or early next

Great review and a perfect example of a trim package that is designed for and belongs anywhere but rock crawling.

Thanks for making an *off-road* video with the Black Diamond! It’s great to see the capability of that vehicle, especially since the BD is in my price range.

My favorite trim. The first thing I would do is upgrade to 33” tires then of course go on from there in time.

Haven't even finished the video but this is the EXACT spec I am looking to order plus the hard top. Thanks for giving me a more detailed look at this trim level

Thanks for the video. I was looking specifically for a black diamond review and you nailed it. Very easy to follow and thorough content! I caught one possible mistake. You stated the tires are 31”. I thought they are 32” on black diamond. Also, great off road driving footage. Great trails, and camera angles. I like how you added the footage over the dialogue.

The tire is a 265/70R17 which has a 31.6 inch diameter. Lots of brands round this up to a 32” tire, but I’ve noticed a lot of people who off-road round down.

Thank you so much for your review and information! I'm an AZ resident myself and I'm building out my Bronco right now and I'm trying to get the absolute best possible bang for my buck. For me I'm looking at the Black Diamond with the Samquanch package so that I can save myself trail headaches. I'm still a fairly entry level off roader, but I'm really looking for a vehicle I can grow with. My only off-road experience is in a stock 1999 2.0 TJ base and had a lot of fun with that truck and I'm quite excited for new adventures! It seems to me like after this review you feel like the Sasquatch package really does give the Bronco the extra 'kick' that you need to truly enjoy what Arizona has to offer. Would you say that's a fair assessment?

I was surprised you didn’t air down while off roading. Even a wrangler with 37” tires would feel rough.

The only time i use the got mode is to put in sport mode to have higer shifting rpm and better throttle respond huge diffirence....
i wish they have put a button beside the locker for the sport mode my other car have a one button to switch from eco,.normal, and sport... .... the goat mode do that in slower way but also engage the 4x4 .... i just want something quick when i am in the city for my throttle response...

The top actually snaps/locks when you put the top back. Once it’s all the way back just push down on both sides and it locks in place and won’t bounce. I have a similar spec in cactus gray, 2.7 Auto

Thanks getting a lower spec Bronco. It is great to see the capability of the lower spec. Keep up the great content.

Only thing I really dont like about the Bronco is the MPG, pretty bad but still a capable off-roader.

About the folded top noise - make sure the two hooks are engaged when the top is folded down. They attach to the pins on the roof above the B pillar when the roof is closed, and onto a different set when the roof is folded down. Sometimes the gray release level won’t actuate the clip on the passenger side. So you may need to lock it in by hand. At least thats my experience.

Exactly my experience as well. I have to do it manually as it doesn't do it when you push the top down as I've seen in previous videos.

With regards to the convertible top, Best Top makes a top for the Bronco that I understand is a better top that the factory top. From what I've seen, it looks better and it performs better from a noise standpoint as well.

Curious why Ford dropped the modular bumper on this model and if that affects the front bash/skid plate. For '22 and beyond do you need to option the modular bumper to get that front protection?

    • @TankAssTanner
      @TankAssTanner 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Yea...I ordered a 2021 BD model and had to pay for the modular bumper when pushed to 2022. You still get the bash and skid plates with the modular, but I just preferred the look and all steel construction of the modular bumper.

Does the crawler gear have a lockout like how the reverse does?
