This was my favorite song on this album... mine is warped beyond repair. I think these guys were 16 & 18 when they recorded this- back in '81! Incredible! I was like Van Ha-WHO? THANK YOU gtogus712 for posting these! I really appreciate it! Rock on! :)
US Metal 1 and 2 are the greatest along with the old Metal Massacres. very unlikely Varney will ever put it out, people have tried. thanks to you for great uploaded versions!
Was not my favorite track when I bought this, but now I think it's the best playing on the album. Shreddier than 99.999% of rock guitarists active in '81, and several years ahead of its time in that regard. Nice post.
Yes, if they'd release these damn 4 volumes as a box set ... it would definitely sell to us old metal heads.
haskpts I’m wishing
Yeah, I think Varney was just in it (a music label) for a quick buck.
I still have the record of this. As a lead guitarist, this song has incredible guitar solos that still blow me away to this day!!
We ain't dead yet............. and Metal will never die !

Same here- Thought these guys had a decent shot of making it
This is really good. Very melancholy

Wow! This is AWESOME!
Thank you SO Much!!!! I wore the grooves out on this album!!! These guys were pretty young according to Mike Varney's Guitar Player interview.
I'm excited out of my mind to hear this once again. Thanks for the post!

If not for Shrapnel, so many bands would never have been heard.
So I herd Paul Baloff from Exodus sings on this??
the guitar during the chorus sounds quite Maiden-esque
Can ya put up Damascus by Izaak Newton next????
Because Varney hates Metal.
