May seem a silly question but before I hand sewd lace onto my hoodie, around the waist, and it made my hoodie too tight. Is there a way to sew lace on without it affecting the tightness of clothing?? :)
Wondering if you can help me. My thread tension is set to the lowest possible, the bobbin is threaded correctly, and I have switched out different types of thread BUT no matter what I do the underside of the garment is always a wreck. It seems like the tension is still not tight enough but I’m wondering if I’m doing something wrong? Do I need a new sewing machine?
have u cleaned and oiled the machine recently? im extremely new to this and i got a machine second hand, this was happening to me on all material types and i thought i was doing something terribly wrong until i was told i need to oil it :)

Is the bobbin wound correctly? Also check and make sure you start with your needle down in the fabric when you start sewing. Hope this helps

There are sewing machines with knee lifts for the presser foot. It’s a huge time saver.
