One of the best indications of the perfection that is this song is that nearly every reactor expresses surprise that it's already over. For a 5-minute song to allow people to immerse themselves so fully that they kind of lose track of time is something special.
For additional context, the second guy was supposed to be the voice inside the first guy's head... telling him to find the answers within and not give up.
I also love Mehram specially bacause of Urooj's part in it. But in this song the 2nd part of Kaavish is something to listen again and again. Kaavish's (Jaffer the vocalist) voice is direct heart hitting. In this whole season till now, O Yaara (only 2nd part) is on top of top
There is a reason why they didn't sing together.....the second guy was his inner counter reasong.....and in the end the first singer consented to that inner voice.....so comparing to mehram is not warranted

Having said that, O Yaara is one of my absolute favourite songs this season, and I hope it'll grow on you a bit more! Nick, it's a pleasure to see you reacting and swaying to the music, especially the first half. It's a pity you don't like Jaffer's section (it makes me tear up nearly every time) but your pure enjoyment of the music is so evident. Lovely to witness that.
May I suggest 2 songs simlar to this and Mehram.."Faasle" from Coke Studio (a must if you like Mehram), in that you can hear magical voice of Jaffer - Kaavish and another magical female voice QB who sings similar songs. Its composed and written by Jaffer. The other one is a musical gem and a cover of another painful song "Na Kaho" from Nescafe basement which is also produced by Zulfi who produced Coke studio season 14 and 15. The song was a tribute to the guitarist of original band who passed away, and Zulfi himself played his guitar in the cover. One additional request is "Bol Hu" from Nescafe basement, that is a sufi song and you are guaranteed to get goosebumps by the voice of little Hadiya Hashmi in that.
Put enough pressure on Nick and he has to bring Jodie back. Plz. do react to the BTS, guys. You will absolutely love it. This song is definitely my favorite of this season.

I think people just created hype for this song for being like Mehrum, it isnt, not that its inferior to it, its just they are seperste, and I hope Xoke Studio keep doing diff stuff and not repeat music styles. Thou Jody not gonna keep comparing songs to Mehrum thays for sure lol. It was around 5min song, but feeling it was short was kept intentionally. Cz it was kind of voice in his head tge second singer and first singer was even humming second singers tones at the end aswell

What's interesting is that the video is a single shot and apparently has the biggest set in Coke Studio history, featuring 450 extra artists and over 200 crew members! Definitely worth checking out if you're a fan of Coke Studio.
I would urge you to take a detour to listen to "obak bhalobasha" Coke Studio Bangla. This season, Coke Studio Bangla is pulling in more viewers (though the two songs prior were not great imho but others disagreed). I promise you, you will love it. Lyrically its not as profound but the everything else is just out of this world.
