Just a word of warning. I use to do what you’re doing and I was filming an abandoned penguin point. It was unlocked so I went in and somebody called the cops. Got arrested for trespassing. Cops didn’t give a shit that I was making documentary.
There is always something sad and lonely about a place where it used to have lots of people, like the building it's self loses the will to continue on without people to breath life into it. Of course a sinkhole in the middle of the place is a very good reason to abandon it but still it looks sad missing the people who used to go there.
Cool explore my guy. I really like how you went in during the day time. I havent had anything from arbys in years. I have one in the next town over that is open. I can't blame the homeless person for making arbys there home. If i fell hard on my luck I would do the same thing. I can't believe they left everything behind like that.
It's sad to see this. It was built in the 80's. I have eaten here many times. I like their roast beef sandwiches! This restaurant was unfortunately built on an area that had been filled with dirt, but it was not adequately roll compacted, so over time subsidence occurred. The drive thru on the north side of the building started sinking first. I figured at some point the subsidence would undercut the structure itself. I was sad to see it go.

Is that the one on 4th street? I remember eating their back in about 2008-2009. Sad to see it closed and decaying.
@@02LeSabre Yes
It takes a very special kind of stupidity to graffiti and vandalize property.
@@sroevukasroevuka you got that right
@@Abandoned1673 if someone tried that around here, they might hear a firearm go off or a dog coming after them. We don't have cops all over like cities do. I live in the sticks. Farms around me, farmers don't like their land being vandalized. They call them illegal trespassers. We tend to handle the problem, then call the sheriff or state patrol.

@@sroevukasroevukaSomehow I don’t see shooting someone over vandalizing an abandoned Arby’s ending in a favorable court ruling for the shooter the way it might for a farmer defending his barn from vandals. Seems like even the most stand your ground states would see that as murder.
I think it is a sad 😔 looking older restaurant and it's a very good video and I would have to be a great video to see it was at one time
I totally agree!

I’m surprised that those doors you entered wasn’t locked! Usually when places closed they always have the doors unlocked unless someone broke the lock on the door! Do you ever video abandoned places in West Virginia?
Never have like too
I wondered about that too, has he ever videoed anything here in West Virginia. There are a lot of abandoned places, as with all states I'm sure, to go and see and video. This is very old school Arby's for sure. I remember when Arby's had this style in their stores when I was a teenager and would eat at our local Arby's a lot while hanging out with friends!
Yeah
I was gonna buy it the town of Wytheville told me that is I bought it I be finied cause it is condemned and a hazard and is very unsafe Really broke my heart when they told me that I have amazing things planned for this building and I had to walk away and there was nothing I could do I remember eating here back in 2003 seems like a dream not thank for for maken this video

What do you mean destroying history it's an Arby's and it's a prefab commercial building takes about 2 months to put one up there's nothing historic about it LOL and thanks for posting
Definitely the 1980s. We have one here in riverside California that looked like that until a couple of years ago.thay did a remodel using the same building. Maybe that's what happened here thay didn't want to go for the remodel and just left it abandoned....lol
