As a drummer who wants so badly to learn guitar, would it be advisable to save the money and just go straight to eight strings immediately? I listen and practice mostly to "djenty" stuff and am absolutely fascinated with axeFX and the whole production aspect that Josh Travis embraces and brings out in each band. Where should I start?
Hey man could I ask you how you get the low strings to sounds so crisp and not like a bass guitar? do you just need a good guitar? or a better amp? I have a seven string I use and it's pretty cheap but I can't for the life of me get it to sound somewhat similar to yours. thanks for reading :)

yes ive noticed that actually but even when i get a fresh set the lowest string still sounds really bassy! i cant figure out what it is exactly. I do have a pretty cheap guitar and its not very solid so possibly that could be it or maybe its my shitty amp?

if you like djent I suggest you to buy a 7 or an 8 string guitar in order to have a nice djenty tone.
