@@gahan101 I enjoy Elton John's ways of piano music, however, Vicka has already been an accomplished classical piano playing musician, which takes her to a whole other level of musicianship and understanding of this art. Maybe I'm stretching the truth with regards to other accomplished classical piano musicians, but I really love her style of playing, specially because she brings so many different colors to all of her covers. Cheers!!
Absolutely love it Vika! I'm 40 now, and just ran across you on youtube last week.. I took piano lessons for 7 years when I was younger but lost interest because nobody seemed to want to work with me on the stuff you play.. thanks for the new inspiration. I dusted off my baby grand and started trying to learn your arrangement of Black Holed Sun! I learned by ear the first 20 seconds in and can play as you play, but obviously have a long ways to go.. you're awesome!!
Случайно наткнулся на Ваше новое исполнение..., приятно слышать, что проблемы с правой рукой ушли ... Я из Сибири и преподаю музыку..., на Ваших примерах легче объяснить надобность некоторых приёмов. Спасибо.
Such amazing talent! I was shocked when I watched all the way through. I saw the video on my recommended and saw ‘say it ain’t so’ , and I instantly clicked, since Say it ain’t so is my favorite song. Please, keep going with the amazing work!
I'm 60 and want to learn how to play piano. Now I know I will never ever come close to playing like this lovely lady. I watch a lot of her videos. But there must be a learning system that speeds up the process. I know I need to practice but I want to practice smart. Any suggestions welcome.
Someone else can probably better help with technical suggestions because I learnt when I was young, gave it up for 20 years and started it up again after watching this channel. The main difference for me between now and then is learning music I love rather than something 'boring' from a grade syllabus. So my advice - learn to read music and basic scales, then pick something you really want to be able to play. Most of VK's arrangements are really hard, but she does rate them by level on her website. Then, just learn it bit by bit - one hand at a time, then together, in short chunks so that you can get some satisfaction along the way. It takes forever and at the beginning it's hard to imagine that you will ever play it, but eventually you'll get to a point where you're not just pushing through and you can actually recognise what you're trying to play. And begin to enjoy it. And every time you start a new piece you'll know how hard it was at the beginning and that you just had to force yourself to go through the motions, but that it gets easier day by day. And practice daily, even if it's just 10 minutes. Finally, an electric keyboard with headphones is great if you live with other people - not for their sake, but I find it helps with the self consciousness of making mistakes when you're trying to learn something new.
Kudos for wanting to learn at 60. Very few people try to learn a new instrument later in life. It can be very frustrating and a long road, but it’s all about the journey. So start now And enjoy the process. I started learning piano 2 years ago at 45. Took me about the past two months to learn her sound of silence arrangement and I can play half of it decent and the second half Will take me a few more months to play it in time, hopefully. So if you practice an hour or two daily in two years you can probably play one of her 2 star arrangements. Her arrangements are amazing and technically so very difficult. Check out pianojohn113. He has a lot of free tutorials. Start with something like let it be from the Beatles. Probably one of his easier arrangements and it sounds great. Will probably take you a couple weeks. Start with simple rock arrangements of songs you like. That will motivate you to play more. Learn some music theory, notes scales chord construction. That will help you decipher what you’re playing and make it easier to remember what to play. Hope that helps. Good luck.
Totally. She’s in a very elite league. Aside from being classical trained Since age 4 she’s a real musician on top. Creative and authentic. The piano is like an extension of her. She is definitely at one with the instrument.
It's always such a happy moment when I get a notification that your new video is posted. You brought this song to life. If this song was a woman, this video would be her appearing in a new cool outfit. It's different, but she's the same. Thank you!
Love this cover! Thank you for the camera angle so I can learn to play it at least in the basic form. You also have really nice eyelashes (which I only noticed after the 8th time watching)

Hey Viki, I just bought your sheets for this song today. I really hope a friend of mine can play it on organ. But she listened to your song and now she thinks it is possible =) I really wanted to say thank you for all the cool transformation work you do. A few of my youth-songs are now enjoyable on piano in a really cool way. I will continue to listen to your publications and I wish you all the best! Stay strong, stay cool, be truthful and warm. - *S
Hi vika i just discover your channel it's amazing how you play its exact the same way i Play piano and arranger keyboards these days I have learned playing piano when a was 8 years old ,learning basic etudes ect.. I was so sick if it that i turned over to my first arranger keyboard, the first time i played a real song (left hand chords, richt hand melody) i start combine multi-fingerd chord and melodie to both hands and so i create a whole differend style of playing the key's, just like you.... also the the same kind of music

As soon as Vika moves to Canada, she will be the best Canadian.
as a Canadian, I second this.
@@axmoylotl we officially speak for all Canadians & we agree that this is the best idea.
My area in Florida fills up every winter with Canadian's. Vika, save yourself from the miserable northern cold and just move to America's Florida.
