Yes, very nicely done and probably quite adequate for the task. If I make one myself, I'll try to run the wood pieces through a surface planer to make sure they're flat, smooth and all the same dimensions. Also, I'd coat each wood piece individually with several coats of boiled linseed oil to protect the wood from moisture and excessive swelling. Even with very strong bands, moisture can cause significant and uneven expansion in the wood over the long term. And yes, it is best to NOT glue the wood into a monolithic block for this purpose. Banding is perfect. Alternatively, steel pallet bands can be employed with similar results, but would probably take 3-4 bands for adequate support depending on how hard you're going to hit the work piece on the anvil.
Fantastic !! Mine is a tiny piece of railroad tie that barely spans two blocks tied together with a handle and a X-brace from a cut up car ramp. I haz the envy !!
The "beast" looks like a HUGE chopping block! Minus the anvil. But that anvil truly is a beauty! I'm inspired Hassan! A christmas goose could lose it's head over this package!
cool Anvil stand. I made mine out of two-by-fours glued together with liquid nail and screw together on each layer laying flat 3 foot One Direction 2 foot the next direction. They are heavy and have been in use for 15 years
I kept my eye out for a big old chunk of maple trunk for my uncles 80 lb antique anvil which I finally came across after over a year about 5 years ago snd left me tell to the patina on that beauty is awesome and is the conversation piece of my shop
Nicely done. Couple of thoughts - the end grain is not going to hold those spikes well if you really use the anvil regularly. I think you should strap the anvil. Second, the clamps are going to catch a leg when you walk by - consider either making a smooth cover or redesigning the straps to make them less likely to catch something.
Its funny. I recently bought an anvil and thought of this video. I had a bunch of fence posts laying around but they were remnants of other projects and they were too short to use standing straight up. So i cut them to 12inches and laid them on their side instead. Still works.
UPD.
Be hard to get in over the top of that anvil to do a proper job with blacksmithing. Also the anvil needs to be bolted down so it has no bounce in it. I would have personally ran all the timber through a jointer to get a tighter fit as well.
well you may be able to but your posture will not be correct...let me clarify....you do not want to lean over, your back will be sore after 1 hr...this is what they teach you in blacksmith class which I took years ago...
Toller Untersatz, VG, Edgar
I believe he welded the small pieces of steel on the ends of the straps in order to provide space for the heads of the bolts when he tightened the straps. If he were to weld the nuts directly to the straps, he would not be able to get the socket on the bolt head.
feines teil, wirkt recht massiv.
You have the most beautiful selfmade tools ever!

Great! That is a sturdy base! Looks like we added an anvil to our shop on the same days! :'D
+Black Beard Projects Thanks bro! Great...😊
That's a beast of a stand! Would make a cool side table too.
+Richard Martin Thanks man! Beast is the right word!! 😂 yeah, maybe...
The "beast" looks like a HUGE chopping block!
Minus the anvil.
But that anvil truly is a beauty!
I'm inspired Hassan!
A christmas goose could lose it's head over this package!

+Brian Kapke Thanks man!
Far better than what some others have done.
Nice... i was doing some black smithing 20 years ago, when my dad use to be a black smith. Awesome stand! 👍
+SAWBLADE PROJECTS Thanks man!
would be an awesome piece of industrial furniture love the ingenuity behind the strap design.
+outoftheblue911 Thank you!
Great idea Hassan! Looks super solid & could be even upgraded with tool holders around the base if you feel like it. Cheers

Fine video. Where can we learn more about the purpose and uses for an anvil stand?
Nicely done, think I may copy it,
+T Brown Thanks man, just go ahead! ;-)
Looks Amazing !
Thanks!

+shark thaMan Nice idea! Great to see that my project inspired you... ;-)
Nice sturdy stand, but you may want to use something to screw the anvil down. Keep it a bit more solid and cut down on the ringing.
You'll be going rightly if you break that. Great job!
Best Wishes, Brendan.
+baconsoda Thanks bro!
Belo trabalho Hassan ficou d+.

+DonDomel Thank you! ;-)

+Outlaw Edge Bladeworks Bushcraft and Survival Thanks man! ;-)
MOST EXCELLENT!!!
+beauxtx1959 Thank you! ;-)
Very Very good 👍 .
Thank you
Why have you made the base so much bigger than the footprint of the anvil? Would be hard to step up close to anvil.
That was awesome I like the intro!
Be hard to get in over the top of that anvil to do a proper job with blacksmithing. Also the anvil needs to be bolted down so it has no bounce in it. I would have personally ran all the timber through a jointer to get a tighter fit as well.
Very good idea
+Oscar Gasalatan Thank you!
another awesome project mate!!!
+Ziyaad Bayat Thank you!

+OnkelJann Danke für den Tipp!
Hassan Abu-Izmero sehr gerne! :)
+OnkelJann ;-)
Could you do the same thing with crank straps? I don't have any way to weld so I couldn't make the straps to hold the wood together.
Damn, nice job!!
+Toasty_One Thank you!
Very neat, any reason you couldn't have just used a stump?
+AirborneBadass Thanks man! Yeah, I had this wood lying around in my shop...
Awesome stuff man and the video I'm editing now is a new anvil stand ahahaha although a lot different to yours. Great minds think alike 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
+Diesineveryfilm Customs hahaha, awesome! Yeah that's true! 😜👍🏽👍🏽
Sweet stuff rite there
Uiii New Mitre Saw !!!
I love that stand I just used a Stump 😉
+Not only Wood Thank you!
well you may be able to but your posture will not be correct...let me clarify....you do not want to lean over, your back will be sore after 1 hr...this is what they teach you in blacksmith class which I took years ago...
Gary voigt ,it may be for a person who prefers that height. Very nice looking work.
Ver cool idea, love it!
+Humus Workshop Thank you! ;-)

I had to move it to my new Shop 😉🤙🏼💪🏼 Thank you
incrible ,very good.
+Antonio marcos lima cardoso thank you!
Great Artist Thank you .peace
+Nasir Nasiry Thanks man! ;-)
if you have a router, then you can also make cavity (engrave) of shape of anvil bottom. Then you will don't need nails for keep fix.
Hey question those look reclaimed, are those like scrap pieces of wood you used?
They look like pieces of industrial pallets, such as when metal is delivered.
+Алекс Ник in english? ;-)
Excellent. Thanks for the idea.
google translate
Thank you! You're welcome! ;-)
I have never seen that anvil style before, what is the maker?
What kind of wood it is?
Solid! 💪💪💪
+Robin Coomans Thank you!
What model is that vise? Seems super high.
What type of metal did you use for the band? How thick?
My man getting up there in subs. felt like yesterday you were at like 1,000 subs.
+SlowlyLosinIt yeah, just Awesome!!

+Fred Creole Native Thank you!
Very nice
Nice Anvil stand.
How much does it weigh?
+Ju Weber 130 kg...
Ju Weber sorry, the anvil weights 130kg... The stand is about 50kg... ;-)
If you place it outside then pour engine oil all over it. This will preserve the wood for a long time.
Nice stand. But just out of curiosity, what kind of anvil do you have? It looks big enough to be a 300+lb Trenton.
+Rida Ali Thank you! Yeah it's about 280lb...
Would ratchet straps work in place of the metal bands you made?
+Aaron Klenke yeah I think so...
Great work and great videos Habu, have another subscription!
You'll be at 20k soon!
+Davewagon Thank you! Really appreciate it!
very nice btw is your vise homemade?

+Luan T thanks bro
