This track fits fights with the moonscorched forms of the contestants so well, especially the beginning. It really nails in the sense of horror and shock when discovering the fate of a fellow contestant and the following immediate realization that you're now in a desperate fight to survive.
Such a good, anxiety-inducing, combat track. The beat is powerful and tense, also sounding "whimsical". The siren also sounds like a long, piercing scream and also fits a lot with the Great War-torn, 1940s town. One of my faves, so good!!
It really does feel like being in a blitzkrieg within a town during WW2. You have sirens at the beginning, then the bass drops feel like bombs striking the earth, and even some parts of the track sound like there are planes in the sky. Definitely nails the tension and anxiety that the track conveys for its boss fights in a post WW2-era game.
I love that it starts off with that kinda wailing noise that was in the old game whenever Crow Mauler showed up. Considering that the wailing is sorta linked to the God of the Depths and the God of Fear and Hunger seemingly took their role (ascending inside it and having an inverted version of the depths symbol), maybe its to show that the God of F&H is passively supporting the 14 to struggle forward past this difficult challenge.
Although this hits so damn good when fighting a moonscorched opponent or a boss fight, I remember this track most vividly with the sudden mob encounter. Really excellent way of setting the tone on how hostile of a place Prehevil is.
Most of the way through my second full play through. I think this has become one of my favourite boss themes ever. It's so unique and oppressive. I adore the air raid sirens. And the recurrence of more pronounced drum patterns throughout 2's battle music sets it apart from 1 in a cool way in my eyes. I love it :)
@@silent-_-hill15 funnily enough Chaugnar's torso only has 750 hp, which is still not enough to kill it safely with persuade, but still, Termina is really weird when it comes to enemy hp, Needles is hella easy, but apparently his arms have more hp than Chaugnar's torso.

While it’s often overlooked, I’d say this song also majorly fits fighting Pocketcat, or at least the one formerly known as Daan. This track, plus how casually he gorily tears off your limbs while his goofy smile is unchanging, his eyes occasionally lighting up while he touches himself gives the fight a nightmare quality not seen in other fights. Though if you got a Salmonsnake Soul or something that prevents limb loss it stops being as scary.
yeah not gonna work. The dev thought of that. If you continue to give up limbs that can't break he will call you out as a cheater and demand a new limb to break. And if you say can't break your legs or arms...only one thing left to take...your head
@@dumbvillage9253 well the thing is you have to go through all the limbs over and over, till he says to do the head. However to do that you either have to not actually fight him efficiently or know about this and try to trigger the dialogue yourself

Actually, he was changed by darkness. If O'saa is brought to the mayor's basement and shown the lumps of flesh, he explains it's not the same. But what if...a person was darkened and then moonscorched, or vise versa? What horror could be born?
The use of timpani, hand drums, wooden percussion, and orchestra drums rather than snares in much of this soundtrack gives it a really interesting colour, especially with the more rock influences in it compared to the first game.
