    One of the best speeches I have ever heard about the lgbtq community. Yes, we should be more kind to one another.

    You can tell that every word of that came from a real place, and it broke my heart. Preach, Alaska. There’s so much fucking hate going around that we forget that we’re all a part of this community because we come from the same place. Wishing more people would see this, it’s beautiful.

    Alaska's speech was a surprise moment that gave me the feels! Its a shame that speech is only being seen here on TH-cam as it is a message that should be delivered in every gay bar, book store, coffee shop and bath house in the country. Just like the last sentence in the video says, we face many challanges in the LGBTQ community... loving yourself and each other should NOT be one of them. And I would go further and say that holding each other up and appreciating the divirsity among us should also NOT be a challange.

    This is what we need. Compassion. It’s not a new idea. We just need to be brave enough to call people out on their bullshit. And to stand up for each other.

    This was emotional. One more thing I would add to Alaska's "No fats, no Blacks, No Femmes" is "no Rice/Asian". As an gay Asian man, I never felt like I had a place in the gay community anywhere in America. I founded GSA at my school, I fought for other students so that they would have a safe space. Then I was actively involved in the gay rights movement in the state that is often called the Buckle of the Bible Belt. During this whole time, I never felt belong and the community never treated me like I did. A community that is marginalized yet continue to shun others who did not fit in their standard of beauty and expectation. A community that advocate for love and embrace differences is somehow prejudice toward Asian men as if they aren't good enough. The gay community, we got a lot of issues, and we have an issue with loving ourselves and out fellow brothers and sisters. I hope to see that we do all that was preached in this video and more.

    Wardrobe, makeup, sets, props...I mean, it’s all perfect! But the writing paled by comparison! IE, “...you don’t know who’s behind the phone YOU’RETEXTING TO.”
    The fuck? If you’re texting and don’t know who you’re texting....Honey, plz.
    If the script matched quality with the rest of the AMAZING elements...this series could’ve won a Screamy...or Grabby...or Tooby...wtvr theyre called!! But nah-just had to have the fatal flaw in the series!! #BradHammer & #JustinHonard ...bitches, we lookin at YOU!

      If you dont get that "you don't know who your texting to" was ment the personlalitie behind a profile pic. A personality which might have problems. And if you dont get the wake up call to the community not judging each other by labels. A community that has many problems then sorry bye. You might need to rewatch and especially listen.

    And those guys who writes those ugly likes are the most shallow, depressing and the ones who are the most alone and think they are ok but in the end they will have no1 when they no longer young and hot... because youth and beauty are only temporary... I rather be ugly on the outside and beautiful inside than beautiful on the outside but rotten ugly inside... I love all boys all guys from all races because color or race doesn't matter when it comes to love and sex, we are all the same inside, flesh and bones and we will all die the same but what's waiting on the other side well that's a different story and who knows but remember karma is a bitch

    • @juliencastle2953
      @juliencastle2953 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Making it a "cis straight male" thing is rather divisive and inaccurate. The lack of compassion they talk about also exist between trans person or between lesbians. Some folks always chose an enemy, when it's not straight people not helping us it's gonna be a specific part of the community that gonna be the enemy like if one bit was flawed and not the rest.
