I persoanlly hate reading digitally haha but other than that great video!! Ill try the platform after im done with my stoner series so i can upload something less niche and with less baggage.
Sounds great! And hey, no hate on how you prefer to read. I used to be picky about reading only print. Now, I can't even open a physical book without wanting to throw it across the room. Digital is so much more accessible. Ebooks also helped get me away from doom scrolling on social media through my phone. Any time I open my phone now, I open a book and not social media. It's a game changer for me. Thanks for tuning in, Joe!
Yeah, she definitely said $99. I wonder if she misspoke or if they changed it recently without her knowing. I'll ping their team about it. But, you're right, I see $290 per year.
Okay, I got word from Julie: It should be changed this week to $99. Hang in there, it looks like that's another piece of intel we got early in this interview. Good eye!
Hey, Tom, I tried pinging Julie, but it appears like she's tied up. You might want to run this question across support on their site. I'm not entirely sure.
The Pro plan may not be suitable for authors like me, as I typically upload my books to platforms such as Amazon and Kobo. Could you explain the benefits of using StreetLib, even with the free plan, for an author like me?"
You're getting wider distribution beyond Amazon and Kobo. Keep in mind, it's not an all or nothing situation; you can use KDP, Kobo, and Streetlib. Streetlib allows you to deselect places you don't want.
@@DaleLRoberts Thanks and it might be another avenue for my audiobooks, due to the fact I use digital voices, due to the fact each character in my books has their own voice to enable a better experience and that is normally anywhere from 10 or more voices.
What can and should be done to support higher more stable pricing of eBooks? Sort of hard to support a free or .99 price point with today’s production costs.
It's always a gamble, and it sounds like it didn't work out for you. You could always try a different platform, or just stick with the one that's working well for you. Remember, it's not the responsibility of the platform to sell your books. YOU have to sell your books; they're merely providing a place for you to distribute your work.
Does StreetLib accept self-produced audiobooks using ELeven Labs digital voices?
Very cool, interesting stuff. I wonder if you can opt in and out of publishing to specific platforms on SL?
You sure can! By the way...hey, Tania! Been a long time, how have you been?
@@DaleLRoberts honestly I've been better. Off on medical leave, my conditions changed and going for more testing. But... one day at a time!

She said $99/year for the pro. On the website, I see $229. Did I get the right website?

Q: How can StreetLib provide migration assistance for authors who want to make a change to their platform?

Again, sorry, it looks like Julie is tied up. Can't say I blame her since she was in Rome when I interviewed her. My apologies, buddy.
I never sold any audio or ebook on streetlib and wasted my time for setup
