Wow, it’s so sad really, his cognitive dissonance was on overdrive when faced with the truth about their failed predictions and prophecies. But, it’s ok, cos they are the ONLY ONES who preach the gospel! Wow!!
I think it's interesting they always want to tell you (if they've been in a long time) how long they've been a witness. That sort of thing never mattered to Jesus...but psychologically unknowingly I think they say that out loud to assure themselves they are somehow vested. It's always when they are being questioned when they go on autopilot to tell you their vested time. There's something to that.
I been a Jehovah witness fer fifty years and I believe every ounce of b.s. they tell me. Cause I been a Jehovah witness fer 50 years. You ain't tellin me jack. I'm in da truf.
It's almost like when prideful insecure people say..."I make more money than you do! I have a degree from Yale University! I'm much better looking than you!" It's a insecurity, emotional issue.
Aubrey Shatner dang, looks like Christine struck a nerve with you. Do you always respond to that with loooooong copy and paste replies? Are you just trying to argue? What’s your purpose, what’s your motive in doing this?
@Aubrey Shatner its a given jdubs don't have any answers even though they are deceived into thinking they are bible scholars. But, all they know is a handful of cherry picked scriptures they try to mash together to form an unscriptural concept of what salvation is.
Overlapping Generation explanation is like a sketch you would see on Monty Python,,,Total humor,,How else could you perceive this information,,,Come on people Wake Up
11.01..... Apparently over the phone is not the place to have a Bible discussion these days, unless of course your phone witnessing and not being asked hard questions that you have no answer to🤔
@@fitcwebb lol EXACTLY!! I remember the many warnings at district assemblies in the early 2000's not long before I faded how dangerous the internet was,now they all take their iPhones n tablets to the meetings....such hypocrites.
At least this guy was polite and friendly and didn't accuse you of wanting to argue or debate. JWs are so biblically illiterate...it makes me really sad. They have been so misinformed. The result is that they look down upon their neighbours...even their fellow ( non jw) Christians...with a pride and arrogance that is such a turn off and far from loving . They don't even recognise that attitude in themselves. They act all innocent, and like the victim, when people get hostile towards them through sheer frustration of being looked down upon as if they are faulty and disapproved by God. And they blow their trumpet ahead of themselves, like this guy, as if to convince God that they are his chosen.
i was answering a jw on a facbook site discussing jws view on talking to jesus. she talked down to me as though is was stupid .ive been in jws over 50 years .she said are you new or studying simply because i pointed out that both Russell and Rutherford advocated worship of Jesus
@Aubrey Shatner Goodness me, that was a loooooong copy and paste, and twice for emphasis. I have often thought how much the governing body are like Diotrophes. They exhibit the same prideful arrogance by expelling from the Christian congregation any who disagree with them. I believe that men assuming authority, or rule, over fellow Christians , and in place of Christ, as his substitutes, is the real apostasy. ...men like the govetning body who make themselves mediators. Absolutely shocking.
@Aubrey Shatner Interesting comment. JWs are never prepared to learn anything from anyone aside ftom their governing body. That means they will always remain spiritually stunted. Their intent is always to find fault and tear down the faith of others. The very things that JWs accuse others of doing they are the masters of themselves. Quite hypocritical don't you think.
@@bridgetazaz and when you do "sit down" with them you have to listen to their long-winded, rehearsed speech and your NOT allowed to interrupt them or ask any hard questions later on nor have a follow up meeting with outside resources on hand. Their preaching is not preaching ,it's standing and holding magazines ,counting hours for standing ,,,I remember a lot of witnesses would go to lunch and leave a magazine and count that lunch time an hour or so,all so on coffee brakes or donuts brakes they would leave a magazine and count a hour or more 🤔
@@john_from_eastcoast. No doubt most of them are happy to be off the street. They will not admit it though. The GB lie to them and they lie to themselves.

*Phone call ends* Brother: *At hospitality outing* "I remember I had this conversation with an apostate that knee she had Biblia knowledge, I showed her these scriptures......"🙄
That argument that they are the only ones “preaching” the word of god is so old and weak. What they preach is a distorted interpretation of the Bible. I’m not a fluent bible reader but I’m pretty sure Jesus wasn’t standing at a cart sipping coffee and playing candy crush for several hours waiting for someone to ask him a question. Lol. And on all the cart crash videos when asked a question, the majority tell them “just go to the website it will answer all your questions”. So why do they need ppl to stand at carts ? I’m waiting to see the first jw org billboard lol 😂
The JWs have changed over time. Back in the 70s when they didn't have their website they were very aggressive, vocal and "argumentative" when going door to door with their corrupt bible. I strongly believe their website has made them "lazy" and weak.
@@bridgetazaz I don't remember seeing the JWs wearing sandwich boards but I'm sure it's recorded in their past history, just like they used record players to play Judge Rutherford's sermon recordings back in the 1940s. I do remember seeing the JWs back in the 70s carry these HUGE SUITCASES with their publications and books from door to door. And it didn't have any wheels on it! Talk about working out with weights! Lol.
They direct ppl 2 the website instead of bible. But when you say that you visited the site and you questíon they ask if you are a bible student or if you were a witness! End of the day: this site is only for themselves🤷♀️

@@bridgetazaz The answer will be "yes but even Christ says that he is the first and the last therefore the 3rd generation can be the first and vice versa..." You could just see them pull something stupid like that... Honestly i have a headache just listening to them sometimes...these poor people are just so deluded.
I understand what they are talking about. But, the real question is do I agree with what their interpretation of "this generation". The frederick franz is one generation, the roaring 20's generation is a second generation. The Baby-boomer generation (Anthony Morris III, David Splane, Stephen Lett) a third generation. Therefore, a Trinity on this generation.
15:50 "what other religion do you know that's doing that? NONE!!" God I hate that answer, because that's the GB words that implanted into the JW's. i remember thinking that stupid way. i have gone to other churches, and it feels like the JW have copied them in so many things.
Clearly no JW PIMO, PIMI, POMO understood it at all. Its like Spaline was doing his best to explain something that he felt he had the holy spirit to tell. I guess the governing body members was like let him have it lol
There is no double fulfillment. The tribulation would never be repeated (Matthew 24:21) Secondly, the Jews that survived the tribulation would be shipped off to all nations which happened in 70 AD. (Luke 21:24)
I would look at the footnotes on that passage in the NET Bible. (you can find it online.) It has the most in depth explanations about textual issues, that passage is a variant and disputed by some. Most Bibles will have a footnote about it, does the NWT leave it out without an explanatory note?
bridget fromAZ Thanks sister! What a battle to find truth! But thank God for our lord and savior Jesus Christ! Matthew 7: 7-8 Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
Exam the Bible Keep seeking Keep praying Keep studying .. able to understand the Bible but take time and efforts 😊 We will find out what's God's plan for the mankind - God is love God is justice God is patient
Exellent call ! Bridgett, maybe you should take them to task. Get all your documentation/ammo ready and do a sit down debate and record it. SHOW THEM using the old publications; the emphatic statements, changed doctrines and failed predictions spoken in the name of God. That would be awesome and mind blowing! !
You know what I think? I think it is a classification problem. BCE... A generation CE...Another generation and after Christ makes his second return.... A whole new era begins. Quite laughable!!! I don't even bother to have a headache about "this generation" anymore.
I find Matthew 24 very difficult to grasp because it all sounds local and about the destruction of the temple, then it sounds like it’s about the 2nd coming. I can understand why some have a preterist view but at the same time I can’t see how everything in the Bible including Revelation has been fulfilled.
I come from an amillenial view, which is the most common view over Christian history. I believe "this generation" referred to people of Jesus' time. Search "this generation" in a concordance; it's very interesting. -- But eschatological details and understandings are NOT considered primary, but rather, tertiary doctrines. -- Peace and blessings!
The JW teaching on this was, the generation of 1914 would see the end of this world. It never happened! So they came up with the over lapping generation then that failed and now it’s NEW LIGHT! They are trying to add to the original light Which you cannot change or add to it! John 8: 12 NIV 12When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
@@unclesalty7778 No one knows the day but, you know it's soon, very soon. I don't even think most JW's know how soon unless, they've been keeping up with the news in China or, knows someone in the military. But, we'll just have to wait and see. Got a lot on our plate already with this 'pandemic' and the UN's Agenda 21. I have an idea! Why don't I just ring up an apostate and ask how things are going on in their world! Lloyd Evan's even showed stats on the John Ceders channel of how things in the world are actually getting better! Seems that apostates are the only ones who have a clue about what's going on behind world events.
I love you Christine You don't know when to cut the jw off from talking. It's a big no no to let them control the conversation. You didn't give one false prophecy. Didn't explain the generation teaching well 30_40 years. 70-80 years etc. Once you have them down on a topic. You can't let them up. Even to the point of embarrassing them for being a jw for 40 years, and you don't know about 1799. You call your self minister? Sorry for being mean. I just anti witness much harder. I make them know they just got run over by a truck
I don’t get the difference between talking to you on the phone and someone else talking to you in person. Other that he didn’t know how to explain away your arguments. He couldn’t get around what you were saying using the Bible and he couldn’t get through what you were saying using reason and logic. So he made up this excuse of, I’m not even sure what, that a reasonable conversation can not be had between two people over the telephone? What? You were perfectly reasonable and polite, even charming with him. You didn’t interrupt him or try to talk over him. You guys were having a perfectly reasonable, amiable conversation. How is it going to be any better in person? He just didn’t know how to counter what you were saying and he made up an excuse. It seems to me that a a person who has been a JW for 32 years like he alleged, should be able to give a better account of himself. JWs don’t want to have a reasonable back and forth about what the Bible says and what it may mean. They just want to preach at you and for you to quietly listen and accept. This guy sounded like he was probably an elder and still, he had to make up some weird excuse about not being able to talk about these things over the phone. Just listen and accept! How dare you argue, you evil woman you!!! Well done by you. Thank you for your activism. 🤔🇨🇺🇺🇸
I think they want "in person" so they can take you through the slow indoctrination process, using the Bible teach book. They used to be trained more for bible conversations and handling objections, etc, but now they're just trained to try to get studies, and reel them in. :( To me, it's a sign of the organizations decline. -- Thanks for the comments!

well i like to point some things out to you why Jesus is talking about generation of the time of the end. as we can see in Matthew 24:36 Jesus says only God Knows the day and the hour not even him this would be talking about God only knowing the time of the end 36 “Concerning that day and hour nobody knows,+ neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father. in 40. Jesus speaks of the collections of his people and how others will be abounded! again this is referring to the time of the end. 40 Then two men will be in the field; one will be taken along and the other abandoned. 41 Two women will be grinding at the hand mill; one will be taken along and the other abandoned.+ 42 Keep on the watch, therefore, because you do not know on what day your Lord is coming.+ at 30 we can see Jesus said the {earth} not one location! 30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the {earth} mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. the bible only speaks of Jesus returning once not two or three times as well this is how we know that this is referring to the time of the end. See how it says {they shall see the son of man coming} in the clouds of heaven! that is the day of judgement nothing to do with those days! YES! everyone talks about the false dates but let me point something out to you Jesus said even the chosen ones could be mislead as we see in this Scripture. Matthew 24:23 23 “Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look! Here is the Christ,’+ or, ‘There!’ do not believe it.+ 24 For false Christs and false prophets+ will arise and will perform great signs and wonders so as to mislead,+ if possible, {even the chosen ones.} Jehovah is the one and only true God when you have the truth things become like glass and you can see threw them.
He doesNot sound like a humble man the way hes speaking . They really believe they have this secret knowledge that can only be taught by them alone and not by just ready your bible. They do not listen to scripture what so ever but actually lean on their own understanding taught to them by men.
So he tries to throw that mud at other religions on how they change stuff all the time...but when you prove to him all the changes JWs have made to the same doctrine, he'll now suddenly believe it if they say it's based in the Bible. Why don't you have that same view towards other religions?
If I hear appreciate one more time Alice pow rite in the kisser!! Funny how you can go to his kingdom hall but burst into flames going in a church. So blind and proud of their true christian check list because that's what their fed. Propaganda and one way messaging goes a long way. Tiring!
This guy seems like a kinda nice guy, at first however, wow has no idea what he "should" say, don't have it quite down. It's so sad, I dont think they know what they believe but go with what they have had pounded into their head (yellow is now green). It seems as though as long as they marginalize the Lord Jesus Christ they are good with it. The truth never changes and is quite well stated in the Bible. "Oh what a tangled Web we weave, when first we practice to deceive." I HATE the strong arm tactics let's come to your house, kinda condesending .Sorry Im kinda rambling. I'm just amazed LOL. Love what you do, you have know idea how you have helped me through some rough times.
Thanks for the encouragement. -- "marginalize the Lord Jesus Christ"! Exactly! There is such an awful talk from the virtual convention called "the salvation of Jehovah", and Jesus is not mentioned in connection with salvation, only makes a cameo on the white horse in Revelation toward the end of the talk. EVen from the WT, i could not believe how low they have sunk.
Their etiquette on answering the phone is shocking. Is his name, kingdom hall? They ask the same questions as well its terrifying conformist. Its like you have called an automated bank system.
I personally beleive Jesus was being ambiguous just so that we can be put to the test to see who is faithful and respectful, and who is rude and easily looking for a way out of responsibility. In other words, who the ridiculers are that he said would be around during the last days. Hmmm

I wish we could use the same reasoning when the government tries to collect on the death tax.
lololz those taxes are not MY generation collect them 333 years down the road pal...
Jehovah's witness always say we come to appreciate this we appreciate that that's all I know how to say 😂
They're trying to reach their "security blanket"!
I'm much better looking than you!"
It's a insecurity, emotional issue.

That eyechart is hilarious 😂😂
At one point it seemed that the main problem you are having in not understanding the overlapping generation was that you are not “sitting down”.
Yes it’s so complex it cannot be understood over the phone. One must set up a meeting with you so it can be explained. Lol 😆
@@erikaletty Don't forget to drink this first!

That argument that they are the only ones “preaching” the word of god is so old and weak. What they preach is a distorted interpretation of the Bible. I have a question? What happened to John 8: 1-11 it’s not there anymore in their silver BIBLE?
I would look at the footnotes on that passage in the NET Bible. (you can find it online.) It has the most in depth explanations about textual issues, that passage is a variant and disputed by some. Most Bibles will have a footnote about it, does the NWT leave it out without an explanatory note?

Does "babble" originate from Babylon ? The devil's native language ?
I find Matthew 24 very difficult to grasp because it all sounds local and about the destruction of the temple, then it sounds like it’s about the 2nd coming. I can understand why some have a preterist view but at the same time I can’t see how everything in the Bible including Revelation has been fulfilled.
Can you explain the definition of 'this' generation then?

You don't know when to cut the jw off from talking. It's a big no no to let them control the conversation. You didn't give one false prophecy. Didn't explain the generation teaching well
30_40 years. 70-80 years etc. Once you have them down on a topic. You can't let them up. Even to the point of embarrassing them for being a jw for 40 years, and you don't know about 1799. You call your self minister? Sorry for being mean. I just anti witness much harder. I make them know they just got run over by a truck
Not inspired or infalable so you decide!
Sooooo tired of the prophecies of doom.

I think they want "in person" so they can take you through the slow indoctrination process, using the Bible teach book. They used to be trained more for bible conversations and handling objections, etc, but now they're just trained to try to get studies, and reel them in. :( To me, it's a sign of the organizations decline. -- Thanks for the comments!

well i like to point some things out to you why Jesus is talking about generation of the time of the end. as we can see in Matthew 24:36 Jesus says only God Knows the day and the hour not even him this would be talking about God only knowing the time of the end
36 “Concerning that day and hour nobody knows,+ neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father.
in 40. Jesus speaks of the collections of his people and how others will be abounded! again this is referring to the time of the end.
40 Then two men will be in the field; one will be taken along and the other abandoned. 41 Two women will be grinding at the hand mill; one will be taken along and the other abandoned.+ 42 Keep on the watch, therefore, because you do not know on what day your Lord is coming.+
at 30 we can see Jesus said the {earth} not one location!
Matthew 24:23
23 “Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look! Here is the Christ,’+ or, ‘There!’ do not believe it.+ 24 For false Christs and false prophets+ will arise and will perform great signs and wonders so as to mislead,+ if possible, {even the chosen ones.}
Jehovah is the one and only true God when you have the truth things become like glass and you can see threw them.
WTS circular reasoning...sorry brainwashing and intimidation!
He doesNot sound like a humble man the way hes speaking . They really believe they have this secret knowledge that can only be taught by them alone and not by just ready your bible. They do not listen to scripture what so ever but actually lean on their own understanding taught to them by men.

What is that first guy mumbling on about
So he tries to throw that mud at other religions on how they change stuff all the time...but when you prove to him all the changes JWs have made to the same doctrine, he'll now suddenly believe it if they say it's based in the Bible. Why don't you have that same view towards other religions?
