However, LNWR have revived some of the old D Stocks for use on the Marston Vale branch line, and they are now British Rail class 230, so they still do exist, with good reason too, seen as they were the most reliable Underground train ever made!
It is such a shame that they sold off 55 Broadway. The crown jewels of TfL / LU. A disgrace. This company and those within it is amazing - they deserve respect. They do a lot that the public do not see. It's horrid to see those higher up politicise their working lives.
Clearly the intention is the same as the railways and head towards privatisation. It is seriously sad that this to will bring about the same results and the once iconic London transport will become another corporate profits before people monopoly that was once the envy of the world.

@@himeyukimatsumoto994 - I have - admittedly it was on the Oedo line only, which apparently isn't as busy as some others (rented flat in Monzen-Nakacho to work in the Mori Tower in Roppongi)... It's busier than London (but less prone to delays - except when there's an earthquake). The trains are also taller, which helps, as you're not bent over like you are on the tube if you're stuck near the doors. Of the cities I've lived in, I'd have to say Bangkok rush hour is worse than both London or Tokyo. (Mainly because Tokyo and London both have lots of trains and underground lines, and Bangkok has no commuter trains (unless you count the line going to the airport), and far fewer metro/skytrain lines - so the lines they do have can be extremely busy)
London Underground thought how can we get rid of stress? I know we'll make Oyster card standard so we can shut a lot of the ticket offices and make everyone redundant.
Oyster is easier than using paper tickets though. Also much less chance of armed robberies I'm guessing as less physical cash is used by communters. I even think it might just go contactless in the future as certain Crossrail stations and Outer Lodnon stations are being made contactless but not Oyster stations. Apparently partly to do with how Oyster zones are programmed or something like that.

My experience on the tubes from my holiday in London last week is still a work in process. The rush hour is a killer. Never experienced that before.
