    Thank-you David for this wonderful video. Dr No No has to be one of my fav yachts in the 50m size range. I love the older yachts. They are real homes on the water, built for comfort and practicality. Some of the new yachts are just too "Show home", rather than a place to live. These long range yachts are built to travel the worlds oceans. The modern yacht with all the modern furniture and fittings belongs on a film set, but not a place to relax while traveling the worlds oceans. The real classics are yachts like Dr No NO, Tommy a 52m Benetti and Minderella built by Feadship. 3 yachts with real class and comfort. Yes "The old school" wins it for me.

    What I especially like about this one is the interior design: it looks like a real boat with all the wood and not an Ikea living room👍

    How to go from broke to buying a yacht: The overly simplified but surprisingly accurate method of wealth building used by the super wealthy.
    Step one: Start and scale a business of your choosing. (Make sure it’s actually scaleable, read the book E-Myth)
    Step Two: invest all profits into cash flowing multi-family or commercial real estate using the “BRRR” strategy.
    Step Three: continue to build equity in your real estate portfolio and invest profits from main business.
    Step Four: 25 years later, re-finance (don’t sell for tax reasons) 50% of your properties to withdraw the massive amount of accumulated equity.
    Step Five: Use that newly withdrawn equity to purchase your super yacht.
    Step 6: Continue to collect income from your active business and remaining real estate portfolio while you travel the world on your yacht.
    Step 7: optional... employ a yacht management company to manage and charter out your yacht when not in use, to offset the running costs and minimize your downside.
    95% of people won’t read this, and of the remaining 5% less than 1% will believe this to be true, and 0.001% will actually do it.
    Everyone is looking for the secret of wealth building... it’s right here. The problem is; you won’t want to wait 25 years and you don’t believe me.

    • @NoGoodHandlesComingToMind
      @NoGoodHandlesComingToMind 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I couldn't agree more, Darren, with 95% of this sentiment in this comment. Most of your strategy is phenomenal and you couldn't be more accurate in saying very few people will actually pursue this. It somewhat reflects a statement I've made several times before: It is vastly harder to convince somebody they can make themselves wealthy than it is to actually become wealthy.
      Most people, unfortunately, will fight you tooth and nail for their right to be mediocre. They have an arsenal of excuses a mile long; one of which being the time-old claim that the wealthy are crooks or lottery winners. In reality, they're often very bountiful members of society and vastly more productive and ethical than most who've ever walked the earth. In actuality, it is the statement's underlying claim of criminality that is in and of itself a way for the mediocre to rationalize their own lack of productivity. "Surely, just surely, that man or woman who's vastly richer than me is a crook, and thus my own mediocrity will be defended on a mound of faux-morality."
      The one tidbit I'd change from your plan is Step Four. I'd rather retain the business' equity and liquidate, depending on the portfolio/business' size, about 40%. Put said 40% into US dividend-producing investments and use 40% of each dividend to live on and provide a luxurious lifestyle, then use the remaining 60% to reinvest and/or reduce the debt load of your real estate portfolio. I frankly would lean further into step 1, and wouldn't want leverage at all, but I'm trying to uphold the method outlined in your plan to at least some degree.
      Anyway, thanks for sharing your comment. These threads are usually full of hyper-demoralized folks who don't believe in themselves and it's oftentimes a depressing visit.

    • @savnet_sinn
      @savnet_sinn 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      While everything from step two and on seems pretty straightforward, step one is really the part that requires the most effort and drive. And trust me, most people simply aren't wired to be that motivated. It's not a matter of belief, and while impatience snares some it's certainly possible to convince someone to wait. It's getting them to do the right thing and to do it right now that's too much.

    • @norarivkis2513
      @norarivkis2513 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not surprising, and doesn't say anything pro or con about the yacht. At that price range, there are only a handful of potential buyers for any given yacht, and they have to wait for one to happen to be buying at the moment. Even the production yachts often take well over a year to draw a buyer; add in that most buyers with $10mil want to have their own built for them, the bigger and more expensive custom yachts usually take much longer than that. It's factored into the broker's plans. Even the Octopus was listed for about two years before it sold.

    Just to let everyone know.Turkish Riviera, Istanbul, Bodrum, Marmaris cost they build fantastic yachts and sailboats and a more expensive super yachts ,what else can you ask for, Turkish build yachts are superb in craftsmanship and very reasonable prices, they will build one in 8,5 mouths, only $1,9 million. saved half a million dollars, ask for all lacker wood work easy to clean and very durable from the salt water. they last longer Avoid sharp corners in furnishing ,slip and fall could be dangerous. definitely Volvo or MTU engines, these are the Turkish builders, Mengi-yay, Turquoise, RMK, AES, Dunya, Yachtley, Sarp. they are the best quality .

Id say ive watched over 150 yacht vids and walk through tours on youtube and this sweetheart is gorgeous. This boat is beautiful in every epic way. My only complaint is the blue and white color. This girl needs to be all white or maybe a light gray and white with black trim. Other than that if i was some rich ass guy this baby would be mine. This bitch is one badass gorgeous vessel. Her shape the way she sits in the water is marvelous. I couldnt in any way ask for more this sweetheart is the queen bitch of the water. Every single line and her shape is perfection. Whoever designed this sexy ass bitch needs a pat on the back because she is beautiful as they come. WOW!!! Shes awsome. Id live on this sweetheart for life!!!

    it might be a stupid question, but why a person that can afford an used yacht like this doesn't buy a new one? Then he can custom as he prefers. Of course excluding that it is faster buying an used one than start a new project and that it is cheaper (I think if you can buy something like Dr NO NO you can afford also a brand new yacht)

  • @jasonowen8193
    @jasonowen8193 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Yes great price, but add 5 million to completely rip out all the interiors and start again, but for all those that are complaining about the interiors, bere in mind this yacht is 20 years old, if you walked into house that was 20 years old you would also be ripping everything out. so for the size of the yacht yes its a good price, but technology has moved on so much now, especially with engines this would cost to run probably 40% more than a equivalent yacht of this size if built today, and that is i would guess as a potential owner that would really put you off, as most owners would use their yacht for 2 months of the year and charter it for maybe 4 months of the year, so i do not think many people would chater this because of running cost..

    • @tollyt7465
      @tollyt7465 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Your comment is exactly what I was about to say.. Its in that price bracket where its not really viable to do the work required to bring it up to date. You need to find someone who wants 20 year old style and higher running costs than a modern equivalent in what is already a small market.. Good luck..

    The yacht of small design is a little boat amongst all that water . She's cute with her powder puff blue hull. But I must admit, the darker royal blue would be better looking on this boat.
    This vessel is just too little for my taste. My boat is just as nice but much bigger . My young family keeps growing and I'll probably need a bigger one in the near future. Sailing to monoco next week .

      It must be tough, making babies at your age and with such, ah, limited equipment. Lucky for your dinghy there's Very Big Yachts and tiny blue pills. ;)

    Wonderful video and presentation. Love the exterior but the interior feels very dated and weird in many cases. Time for a furniture and linen refresh and maybe not so many yellows and golds mixed in with the wood. Too much going on.

      This class yachts cost about 1 million per meter. So, 80% discount is fair enough.

    Great video David. I have a question for you: Let's assume I want to buy a yacht and I have a budget of 10 million euro, I don't, but let's pretend...... Would you advise to buy a brand new GPR 30 meters navetta or a classic 40/50 meters steel yacht from the nineties?

      Remember the cost of running a yacht is about 10% of its ORIGINAL purchase price per year.
      The older yacht is going to cost more to run each year and 1 million a YEAR is already a massive cost.
      This (and not the fact that I have absolutely no money at all) is why I won't be buying this yacht.

      Hi Giampaolo, there's a great expression about buying a yacht: "It's not the price of the elephant that is the problem...it's the cost of the hay!".
      The most important factor is not whether you can afford the 10m capital outlay, but how much money you are making every year to afford the running costs.
      However, assuming that running costs are not a problem, I would recommend that you buy DR NO NO. She is asking 10.5m but I'm sure we could offer you a small discount :0)

      Yes, the 10% was just a figure I have seen handed out.
      The important point I was making is that a boat costing 10 million today might have cost 50 million when built, and the running costs would be a much greater % of the boats cost compared to a modern boat, so be careful when choosing to consider the long term costs.

    Super well done video as usual. But the yacht’s interior is like a compilation of 80s porn sets. So dated. Outside is amazing though. That yacht needs some love and refresh.
