    Great video! I am brushing mine in mineral oil. Just like my wood carvings. It's making them translucent.

    How long does their fall colour last with glycerin method?

    Beautiful footage I was just checking to see what tips you may have. One thing I learned from another video was to cut the stems off at the bottom and then put them in within about 11 seconds of doing so will help keep the color more vibrant cause I need to absorb the glycerin pretty quickly.

    Wow! Was looking for pumpkin crafting ideas for my daughter's get-together this weekend with her little buddy from playschool (they're now in 5th grade and he proposed to her at his 6th birthday party so....) and was interesting in learning how to glue leaves to pumpkins and other gourds and then seal them. I happened to click on your video because the title gave me the idea to spread the craft into 2 weekend get-togethers since, due to covid and their being unable to vaccinate, they limit themselves to each other since all other family members are vaccinated and take necessary science-based precautions. I loved the music right away. It worked so well with the gentleness of your approach which makes the viewer really take notice of the leaves. You made a very elegant and refined production. I really enjoyed it. Thank you. I'm going to subscribe and see more of your videos and find more inspirations for my daughter and her buddy.

      Thank you & how sweet ❤️❤️ Hopefully the get together was a success!! I have used Modge Podge to seal things to gourds and it has worked well. I will be posting some pumpkin crafts & recipes from this fall soon and hope you are able to check them out….Happy Soul Season! ❤️

    Thank you so much for the video ....
    Mam,
    I preserved fallen leaves in glycerin bath and did embroidery on it ..... after I framed it I saw some tiny insects near the stem...... what can I do to avoid this .....??
    Are there any special fumigating process ...???
    Please help me.... I am eager to learn about it ... and early waiting for your answer .....😊

    • @soulseason967
      @soulseason967  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello! I too often find small insects near the stems & on the backs of leaves I want to preserve. The best thing is to remove the insects before the preservation process. If you are finding that the problem persists after your project is complete, try using a very small amount of natural/homemade pesticide that uses an essential oil like lavender or neem tree. There are lots of recipes you can find on the internet that make use of things you already have on hand…I have found recipes that include ingredients as simple as dish soap, cooking oil and water.
      Your embroidered leaves sound lovely! Please share a picture of them on my Facebook page so we may all enjoy your handiwork!! You can find the link in my video description ❤️❤️

      Can I ask why you use that many ellipses when you type? I'm genuinely just very curious, I see people do this a lot and I'm curious if you have a specific reason for it

      I’ve also seen alexis nicole/ @blackforager use a few techniques for things she brings home starting w leaving your foraged items outside for a bit so the leaves can escape to little baths- a vinegar bath for one if I remember correctly
