- This is my compilation of 5 best Windows remixes. I didn't make any of those remixes.
This video has quite a long history. At first, in September 2012, I uploaded a video of 10 best Windows remixes, the top five of which were the ones in this video. The video was my channel's first video to become popular and eventually reached over 200,000 views. Unfortunately, in December 2013 the video was taken down through a copyright claim on the remix that got sixth place. This made me temporarily lose the right to upload videos longer than 15 minutes, so I uploaded the video again in two parts a month later. The first half was taken down again because of the remix that got sixth place, leaving me with only the second half of the video, which I renamed to Top 5 Windows Remixes. This version of the video became popular once more and somehow got a massive explosion in popularity in the fall of 2016; its view count nearly doubled in October of that year, going from 378,000 to 750,000 views in that month alone. Eventually, in November 2017, it hit the fabled milestone of one million views, making it my first and only video to hit that milestone. To this day I'm not sure how this video got so popular, but through all these years its reception has been a more than pleasant surprise.

The ones credited to "Unknown" have been uploaded numerous times by many people, so I cannot say for certain who made them.
The 10th to 6th place remixes were called Windows 2000 Remix, Nyan Windows, Windows 98 Remix, Mac Sounds Remix, and Windows XP Russian Remix.

It's weird and interesting seeing how people can make songs just from a couple of error noises from a computer.
I used to jump a lot, when I was little, at the old Windows XP error noises that pop up. xD My dad keeps the computer volume too high. xD

You're glad you put this video into two parts. People who used the Windows Russian Remix were taken down. You were lucky enough to have your channel.
It was originally one video, but it got taken down. Sucks because the Russian remix is pretty rad. Because of that copyright claiming dickhead, when I get the right to upload 15+ minute videos back I'll reupload the whole Top 10 Windows Remixes video with a different sixth place remix.
If you're wondering when I'll upload this as a full video, I can't until April 6, 2015, so it'll be a while. :(
