He’s not wrong I hold my thumb stick on the edge slightly in the center to give me more control and freedom to drag my joy stick like a mouse giving me faster mechanics when building

I use gyro, why settle for a tiny thumbstick stick when I can use the entire controller to turn.

Depends what you want. If you want control edge would be better but if you just want the least delay and most responsiveness, middle is better.
I noticed the other day that I would randomly get better outta nowhere n it was cuz I changed my thumb placement. Still don’t know which placement it was tho cuz I used all 3

Something similar thats also important is palm placement. Especially when you’ve played for while it could shift out of place, without you noticing it.

@@MillionaireMael When palying claw I realized that my palm kept slipping while playing. When that happened my aim got worse and I missed edits. Ended up buying controller grip stickers. You could try that. There isn't really a specific palm placement everyone should use. Everyones hands are different what works for me might not work for you. The only thing I recommend is not switching up the placement, because that causes inconsistency. Hope this helps!

I normally hold my thumb on the back of the right stick while I switch my fingers during combat, mostly about comfort so that's maybe why it's taken me three years to get good
I figured this out yesterday I use put my thumb directly in the middle then I just randomly overlapped my thumb got my aim back how to use to be😂

I want to the same feeling when I used to play Goldeneye or Resident evil 4, super smooth aims. Ps4 controller has never been easy to aim with to me.

I’ve been using the middle part of my thumb to grip the edge of the analog stick and I just figured out that place the tip of my thumb in the middle of the analog stick is the best way for me

I used to play with a normal grip but I recently switched to claw it was so easy to convert most likely claw was meant for me and my aim went 📈📈📈📈

I don’t know what good for me, but I use the bottom edge because my fingers are not big and it gives me more control, flexibility, and overall comfort.
I like to put my thumb either at the top of the stick or on the right side cuz I have the muscle memory to quickly move my thumb to the a (or x on ps) button and back to the stick

I would say edge is probably the best one even tho I play with my thumb overlapping the controller
i used to use the face of my thumb in the middle but now i started using the edge and it actually helped a lot
This is so true because I use kontrol freeks and you have to find what is comfortable for you.
what i do is kinda like a mixture between the first and third one you showed us, i kinda place the center of my thumb on the stick. i do this for both fingers, since it gives me a sense of control and helps me press down the sticks easier since i have them bound to some things (sorry for bad grammar)
Well he is right and wrong there is no placement that is better all you need is practice to get better but also keep a comfortable placement but just practice and you will become a pro

It's cause most people on fortnite are using Cronus zens and strikepacks it's why Microsoft is banning them these people don't even need to try cause the device does it for them so nobody's gonna get good regardless unless the cheating goes down which statistics are insane with this game for cheating or using devices that aren't allowed

I even have one finger off my controller when I play sometimes doesn’t change the way I play tried claw it started hurting my finger so I went back to the basic way
How can i improve it
God level controller player here: What’s more important than just thumb placement is the correct height and width of the thumb stick/ kontrol freeks your using. If you have the right fit then your thumb will lay on it naturally the perfect way and you won’t be having good days/ bad days. They will all be good lol you will play alot more consistently. For example I have smaller hands so I use a mid rise kontrol freek and it naturally puts my thumb where it should be
What placement do you use because I seem to be more accurate when i overlap my thumb however i struggle to press the buttons when playing claw and when I hold the thumb stick on the edge I feel less accurate and missing a lot more shots
But you never said what is the best position like I wanted to know mainly because I noticed this while play last night that the war I had my thumb felt weird and uncomfortable and my hand got tired quickly.
So which thumb placement is the best one ?

@@Junaid1493idk I found my accuracy was bad when I clawed which made me aim w my tip of of my thumb compared to my non claw aim which my thumb covered the stick so I prefer non claw now n its alot more comfortable for me (Clawed for 6-7 yrs btw)

Tbh i just lack mechanics i only know 90s, rr, straight tunnel, high wall, full box from height, mongrall classic, double edit, tripple edit, quad edit, and side jump.

I use the over lap lol its so much easier to edit because of the extra control to be able to change camera direction fast and I also use this button to edit so it makes it much easier do this as well.
i absolutely cook on controller (i think) on zero build, i got like 26-28 eliminations yesterday

Sum that helped me is to remind myself to breath and focus on the players when about to beam and stay on target
I basically use the bend of my thumb t press a or x on Xbox/PlayStation and my thumb can stay on the right stick so I can crouch slide and/or jump without much thumb movement

I think that if you play with your whole thumb on the joystick you are able to be more precise but if you play claw it is really uncomfortable so you have to play with your thumb on the edge so it is easier to play claw but your aim doesn’t feel as good

My thumb overlaps, plus I have paddles so I rarely ever touch X, Y, B, A (I play with Xbox controller obviously )

I like to use what I use beachside if I get good at the game it wouldn’t really be fun for example bo2 was fun bc a lot of ppl were new and mw2 2022 we can’t have fun without dying in 2 seconds
I don't know why but when I did play Fortnite I could never play claw on the right side I always had to use the left side it was so much easier

I put my whole thumb across the stick so that it’s not the rounded part touching it it’s the actual finger part leading up to it that touches it 💀

Yea it’s for sure not the console lag and it’s 125hz polling rate of the garbage Xbox controller. Once u feel 0 lag 240fps it’s hard to ever consider console or controller
I just got a controller with paddles and that’s what helped me
I play kbm on pc with index and ring finger on right and left mouse button and my thumb on the left side button and pinky on right side
I do none. I have my whole thumb on the stick but it’s not overlapping

when i play claw on controller i build slower but my combat is very good compared to non claw how i always played my whole life i build quicker . And yeah i’m barely starting claw, i don’t know how to improve my building on claw

Dont play claw guys. I played claw for almost 2 years and my index finger got bented and my wrist also got fucked... i cant fully open my hand as i feel the nerves and tendons of my wrist stretching, its very unconfortable. I also can pop my wrist now just the same way we pop our fingers.
