Favorite card was Marshall Faulk for sure and Chris Carter for overall looks. Panini should really go back and look at some of these sets to reuse some of the formats like the golds. Remember to sleeve Steve Young. Definitely wouldn’t mind seeing some old school sets by year videos where your looking for a certain rookie or rookies. Also like the idea of videos of sets that are not in production anymore. Cool Video Guys ☄️
Awesome video. The best packs by far were the 1997 Pacific Philadelphia packs….you could’ve pulled an Adam Vinatieri RC (Super Bowl winning kicker for the Patriots, his ONLY rookie card)…..sells for $80.00-$120.00 raw, $500.00+ as a PSA 10!!

I miss the days when base sets were a reasonable size and didn't include mediocre players from 20 years ago like Panini does today. No one asked for multiple Jake Plummer base cards in 2021 products
a lot of these guys have the same agents. so when panini reaches out for a guy to be in a product, usually the agent will try to include their other clients in the deal. thats why you see a lot of guys who are not really "collectible"

I pulled a 1998 Pacific Omega Peyton Manning back in 1998. I had a “kids address” book and it had the mailing address for all of the pro sports teams. Anyway, I sent that Manning card to Peyton and about a month later he sent it back, signed. I recently got it authenticated and graded. Cool that it’s real 🤷♂️
That was a ballsy move to send Peyton the rookie to sign. I remember Beckett had the team addresses back in the day. Multiple times I’d send the cards in and get autos back, and other times they never returned. Glad you got yours! Btw, one time my brothers took my outgoing mail, auto’d my cards and sent them back to me lol. I didn’t find out for years

Reggie White sent me a letter back asking me to donate to his church. I think I sent him a dollar and said I was 8 years old, and didn’t have a job. He signed the card…

The first Favre I got was back in his prime and it showed up on my birthday. I thought something fishy might be going on…but I think it was just a lucky bday ha.
Finally speaking my language with the vintage sports! Love opening the old packs but hate the damage from cards being stuck together and pulling a redemption.
Those Pacific Invincible were my jam back in the day. They came with color parallels with that head acetate to. Favorite was a Terrell Owens RC Silver acetate.
90's packs are awesome . Would be better with better brands beside pacific. But what I would really love to see is 80's football packs!! Take me back to my childhood!!

love this era of cards. so many cool sets. there was playoff leather which were leather like cards pinnacle inside which the packs were sealed in a player can. some of the cans were silver or gold lined pinnacle mint was a awesome set. each pack came with cards that had a cut hole in them. what made the set so unique was they also came with player coins to insert in the whole. it was fun to try and match the cards and coins. was a big fan of upper deck silver and 1995 skybox impact photography. sweet looking set.
