watching this at 34 and crying realizing how long 2005 is ago. I'm still living my emo dreams though as I play bass in a grindcore band and do vocals in a death metal band.
As somebody who went from this exact person to looking like J Crew threw up on me at 35, this made me laugh WAY harder than I expected. I gotta say I also did not expect this level of catchy or this high of a production value when I stumbled upon this song. Very well done! Ties in well with Story of the Year's recent single "2005". I find it funny 1985 came out in 2004, 19 years later. 19 years after 2004 is...well it's today!

OMG I love the MV! I remember those years ago 😢 I’m glad this was filmed at Westminster Mall! The Hot Topic employees there are so friendly and helpful!
Given that you used the riff from Grand Theft Autumn, I'm going to assume that there is a correct answer for both "favourite singer of Saosin" and "best Fall Out Boy album"
Haha, while it is based on the Grand Theft Autumn riff, it is not quite the same, but good ear! The answer to both questions are in the "ear" of the beholder. I know I have my own answers, but they are not that for everyone. What do you think?
@@EmoKidsOfficial granted I should have said "inspired by" sorry. Haha mate, I'm not touching either of those questions with a ten foot pole. Far too controversial topics to answer on the internet.
@@EmoKidsOfficial Well considering the years I started listening to both bands, and if I have to give an answer; 1. Saosin singer would be Cove 2. Best Fall Out Boy album would be Take This To Your Grave

Good charlotte was good till around 4th cd. They turned into a weird christian band. Early GC was good though. They were the reason I became who I am now around 2000
Back then everyone had flat hair, I remember thinking everyone's hair looked greasy, and heavy. But yes the 2000's are the 80s for GenZ. Just like the 80s and 90s are for Millennials and the 1960s and 1970s are for Generation X and the 1950s are for Baby Boomers.

Honestly haven't heard much of his stuff, but he was a rapper before and then all of the sudden decided he was emo. Many of us lived and breathed this in the 2000's so to some it felt a little "cultural appropriation" :D
