This game was made for Germans, specifically German Bus Drivers. Because they like to go home and relax after a long day of bus driving by firing up Euro Bus Simulator 2012

I studed game dev at college and the guy who ran the course was a very experienced software developer who had precisely ZERO experience with game development; iirc he mainly designed and developed software used by quantity surveyors.
This feels like what he would make if he was asked to make a bus driving game.
