- Alright, this one requires a bit of explanation, but essentially, if you put the CON files for these songs in the same place as you would other customs, you can play these online. The general hypothesis (and by that I mean Nick told me and I think Pikminguts insinuated it) is that Title Update 5 checks for the tempo maps of RB1 songs, and that's its anti-piracy measure. Strangely, the three songs that don't import are included in the group of songs that are good to go.
I have to wonder if we can then get custom made RB3 versions of these songs to work so long as the tempo map is unaltered. That seems to be how that one custom of Cum On Feel The Noize was playable: grafting an RB1 tempo map onto it. Of course, the chart looked off-beat at all times because of that, but otherwise it would be worth a shot.
Of course, when it comes to customs, I have many other things on my plate right now (especially this week, wink wink), so it's the kind of thing to spend a Saturday afternoon on as an experiment and nothing more.
Anyway, we did two of the three songs, so stick around for more trivia on these weird FBFCs.

Even though the song isn't officially able to be played outside of RB1, later games do include update files for it on-disc, like the art, midi updates, and such.
In my school we have a class where you pick bands and you play this game, the other Rock Bands, and all the Guitar Heros.
My band is playing this song when we were told many times that we shouldn’t and it’s hard. After seeming this I think they might have been over exaggerating just a little bit.

You have a class where you play this game? That's crazy, my class is similar except we are actually playing it on real instruments. I'm using the drum chart here to learn it on drums but frankly the best way would be to practice each section of the song until you mastered all the sections, especially for the guitar solo. Drummer might have to practice the fills a small bit but shouldn't be too hard. Use the practice mode to single out the sections and slow them down to half speed.

GHM is definitely easier. The hit window difference is only 20ms, but it's still noticeable.

Okay... I simply MUST have Enter Sandman on my Rock Band 3 Game so I can play it Online with people, if it's still able to be accomplished of course. -sigh I wonder why it couldn't just be a thing to begin with?

Emil Welin It’s part of the Rock Band Franchise. All vocalist characters on a rock Band game, even Metallica never displays playing guitar or bass or drums on vocals at the same time, ever. Just microphone only. And percussions for that, too.

Presumably people have hacked the game and extracted the file (or recreated it somehow). It's out there on the internet if you know where to look. Later games even have updates for the song included even though it's not officially playable in any of them.

It's technically a custom song, since the Metallica songs cannot be exported to Rock Band 3 because of Guitar Hero Metallica.
