But not too distressed, just enough to keep up appearances. If kitty didn't like getting the squishes, kitty wouldn't stick around. My cat Chewie, who is well named, would bite me viciously if I tried that, she once bite my left forearm almost to the bone. She suffered a small brain injury as well as painful nerve damage in her spine, due to a horse accidentally stepping on her and snapping her right back leg. I love Chewie, and she's very affectionate, but I do miss being able to carry my cat around like it's a baby. The only time I can do that is at her yearly check-up when she's mildly sedated. Years ago when it was just my male cat, Taz, my cockatiel, Taji, and I, Taz would walk around the house calling for me. I’d usually be in the bathroom when he did this. I’d hear “Mom!” I’d hear it over and over with inflections like a little kid wondering where mom was. I’d respond with, “I’m right here baby.” One last “Mom?” His voice would be quieter. He’d peek around the door and exclaim, “MOM!” He’d be all excited and trot the rest of the way in to rub on my legs. He even did that weird too! It wasn’t just a bonk. He’d jump a little to start the rub at my knee and slide down my leg. I got a recording of the whole thing once and showed my coworkers. For the longest time they thought he was possessed because he really sounded like a little kid saying “Mom”! One of my coworkers said she could easily have mistaken that for her son calling for her. And then over the years, his vocabulary just expanded to where we could legitimately have intelligent 2 way conversations that visitors lucky enough to experience them could understand the entire conversation. A friend of mine stayed at my house with her 2 young girls while they were moving to a new place. Both her daughters had a tendency to talk in their sleep. Taz was notoriously scared of other people besides me, but they’d been staying over long enough that Taz was comfortable being in the same room as my friend. He would still hide when the girls were awake though. One night while the girls were sleeping, they began talking in their sleep. Taz stood at the foot of my bed where my friend and I were watching tv. “Mom?” “It’s okay baby. They’re sleeping.” He sniffed the air. Again, he turned his head to look at me. He made his “hmm muff” sounds that he always made when he was uneasy. “I know. They’re talking, but they’re also asleep. They’re okay.” He gave a big sigh and looked back down the hallway at their room. “You can check on them if you want to. Don’t wake them up though.” He got off the bed and crept toward their room. He sniffed the air and sniffed the blanket. When he was satisfied, he came back and jumped back on the bed. “See. They’re asleep and they’re okay. Do you feel better now.” “Ya.” “Oh my god… I understood every part of that conversation. I understood everything he said! And he’s a cat! That was amazing! And he was really worried about my babies!” Later on when I got a permanent roommate, her chihuahua was the same way. Both were constantly talking. Talking to themselves. Talking to each other. Talking to us and Taji. Eventually talking to more siblings, another cat, hamster bffs, and a tortoise. The other pets were so quiet by comparison, even my cockatiel! Now the house is too quiet. It’s been at least 5 years since I’ve heard those sounds. I still miss them every day.

I'm trying to convince my father he needs to say "purrrr-eow" to my cat when he serves him food. He always says the cat doesn't go eat when he gives him food. Bro, you need to tell him you're giving him food, otherwise he will just nap on my belly all day 😂
Guilty! 🙋🐈⬛🐈⬛
Me too lmao
That's the sweetest thing i have seen today. That video just made me Smile.
My house also sounds like this. We don't have a cat, but we find meowing at each other from across the house to be a good way to establish location without shouting.
Love that! 🌞
Same ahahah. I thought I’m the only one strange like this hehe
That's just brilliant, maybe you could actually get a cat and see if it joins in the madness 😅
@yuliia-san5609 there's a whole world of strange weird wonderful people who talk to themselves, the furniture or walls or doors or animals and often not even you own pet, just the spider that is lodging in your cupboard rent free of course.
That's so cute!
The cat screaming when she grabbed him just sent me!!!😂😂😂😂😂
The wife was exposed speaking the cat's language! Lmao adorable kitty and adorable human couple 😂🤣💚💙💜
Looks like you have a couple of pussycats at home. 😂
So he got himself a druid lady? nice!
My new favorite cat video. I've watched it five times now. It has everything.
Meowing/yowling in response right back at them to copy is such a standard thing for me with our cats... 😂
My husband would end the meowing back at the cat with "Good Conversation"!
LOL, sometimes I say "thanks for telling me, I didn't know." 😂😂
When my grey tabby won’t stop meowing at me I just drop everything I’m doing to sit on the floor with her with a “you have so much to say!” She speaks, and I must listen.
😂😂 the reows from the squished took me OUT!! Cat daddy’s face + response was the icing on top - that “are you having a tough day” was so precious tho!!!
Yes! We do gather that you love your cat - and that he/she runs your household. Beautiful people, including Cat. ❤❤
I love the background conversation between wife and the cat and then him just accepting the cat attacking his hand. Like, this is my normal life. 😂😂😂😂
I love that it was going on long enough beforehand to start filming
Unless he was trying to film something else, and got preempted
Love when the cats are held like that and you see tiny feets below the belly
I can see how smitten you are. Awwwww. Good for you man.
Your wife is adorable, and so is your cat, protect and treasure them at all costs.
Our cat Arwen and I have full-blown conversations sometimes and my lovely husband can't stop laughing either😅
Love the Tolkien name you gave her!
@@SirV3nt thank you!
Love the name!!! I bet she is as beautiful as the character you named her after!
I knew it! I knew it! Just based on that frantic meowing, I was like, "Oh that *definitely* sounds like an orange. 😂"
He brings joy & laughters in your home with all his sounds that keep you happy to hear everyday !
It took me a while to realize there was a human involved and not 2 cats. Much more amusing on the rewatch! Your wife is a good sport.
The painting in the background tells everyone who is Supreme Ruler in that household.
You kept a straight face much longer than I could have. 😂❤
Omg there’s even a freakin portrait of the cat on a canvas behind 😂
I love it! 🤩
Suspicious silence is always cause for concern. 😂😂😂
Thank you for having a normal house. I'm used to manufactured backgrounds online with everything fully organized in view and just having a normal house background is...refreshing. I love all of it from the pictures, the plant going along the wall, and the exercise machine in the other room. My home feels similar and it's great. 😊
The giant painted cat portrait behind you is just the absolute cherry on top ❤
一隻話嘮的貓就是因為有一個話嘮的主人 真的一點都沒錯😅
Not me literally just having finished meowing back and talking to my foster kittens before watching this video 😂
Your cat has Big Feelings and Opinions and he must scream
Mr and Mrs Ze Whipper are such good cat parents!
Their Baby & their joy🤗🥰😘👏🏻🍷. Happy with their fur Baby. So cute.
Straight up orange cat behavior 😂
THIS❤❤❤❤
😂i have one nonstop talking😮
'You want some squishes?'
'MIAAAUUAAAUUUWWWW!!!!' x'D
I can't XD
What a vocal baby! Both of them, lol. Besides, when they talk to you, it would be rude not to talk back! 😂
Sounds like Heaven. !!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yeah. Us too. Zorro will start meowing, one of us will reply, the other might join, and sometimes we end up meowing at each other instead of at him.
Knew that was an orange before he even came into frame 😂😂😂
ginger attitude 😆
I did too, lol. That is why I love orange tabbys!
I hope this man understands how truly rich he is 🙏❤️
He does. I also do when I see my wife talking to our cat like that..
Courage dear with your wife cat 🐈 ❤ ♥ 💙 😘 😊 🐈
Men very rarely do. Some are good but many pine for the idea of greener grass.
@@AsMr-km6exmaybe just the ones you meet
@@soundofshamashnah most are like this, sad reality
You definitely love your cat. I'm looking at your bookshelf and there's plush toys, photos, and more plush toys that look like your gorgeous cat. Every kitty should be loved like that.
The cat maowing dramatically at me from across the house and me maowing back at him is a literal daily experience for me so this is just gold XD
Your cat identifies as a husky.
LMFAO
I have 2 husky mix
And I do indeed yell back at and mock the huskers
what I was thinking LOL those dramatic genes! 🤣
Huskies are the canines orange cats
Same. Have 2 husky mixes and the conversations are very loud 😅😂 same as my kitties 😸
Just the look in your eyes while this “chaos” happens is just pure love for your household, down to the cat biting your hand and wife unhelpfully blows air to the cat to make it stop 😂
That's the way they are lovely as they sound. I have two and they are amazing 🐈🐈⬛
The higher pitch after "You want
some squishes?!" 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂💜 You two are fantastic!!
Sounds like a ‘singing’ contest. Or, at least the ‘warm up’ session. 😂❤😂❤
As someone who has lived most of my life with cats (and I'm over 60,) and has also raised a child that was born of my womb, I totally get this! We love our babies, and they are total pains in the butt, but they are our babies!
Who doesn't talk back to their precious kitty cat ?😂🎉❤
I've had some of my best conversations with my cat. He always listened and always knew when I needed a head bump and a purr session on my chest.
He was the best.❤
A very familiar sound. My family loves "talking" with our cats, either in English ("What? Tell me more! Really? Well, come here!") or in meows. We did similar with our dog when she was alive, both English and barks/howls. I like to think it strengthens our relationships with our beloved pets
@@melonmw me too
My cat outside my bedroom door: "I must respond to the call of my people, Meeeooooow."
The cat picture and stuffed cats behind you are there frosting on the cake in this video😆
Sounds exactly like my home for the past 40 yrs. plus the joyous noises from the kids who are now grown. Besides the numerous cats let’s not forget the dogs! ❤😂lol
The little "we love the cat." At the end is so funny😂😂
I have SO many unhinged conversations with my 5 cats. LOL
What a soulful and meaningful conversation
This is the languages of Love between the Animals and Human beings Cool
My poor husband 😂 I do this daily with our Siamese! ❤
Yeah, Siamese kitties are pretty noisy
They were bred as temple cats and basically functioned as alarms at the time lol
@@adrienstarfaer That is so interesting, I wasn’t aware of that part of their history! I did a study on the domestication of cats in University and they were also trained killers and it’s why they are the color of shadows on sand. They would crawl into an enemy camp and attack specifically dressed warriors. If they returned with blood on their chests, they had completed their job. They would ride into war on their owners shoulders. Whenever my Siamese is grumpy, I always keep one eye on him and one on my neck! 😂
OMG! Siamese are predisposed to this. Can even articulate 30 words meowing even. When they can't they kinda meow-sing their human's intonation for one. My Havana was singing my human companion's name, also in my language "no" "out" "cheeze" "mine" "I'll drown". He was a sweet muscular one.
Okay, good. I thought Siamese kitties were talkative, but when no one else mentioned it, I thought I was confused.
Your cat is hilarious. The faces you were making just priceless lol. Such a patient loving wife. Lol
You pulled yourself a couple of keepers there!
This is the first video I saw on your channel, and I've been laughing ever since. Especially at the unhinged audiences 😂😂😂 Thank you both for making my week!!!
Ah the talkative babies it’s a love/hate relationship. Also my hubby and I meow back our cats all the time.
The DEFINITION of a happy home.
Мужчина в браке приобрёл терпение и философский взгляд на мир... благодаря коту. 😎🤣👋
I had two cats that very gentle and quiet and then I got the third and she meows like that ALL THE TIME. I will never get another
