Maneco is the best on doing this! I had the opportunity to witness his firsts pedals made from scratch. All this Grone line is beautiful and it has all is needed to sound awesome! Great video! 🙋♀️👍
I have one...it's dark for sure....but absolutely amazing!!!! I recommend recording every moment with this machine as "dark accidents" can be hard to reproduce. I appreciate your rundown of the module.
I’m not generally a fan of drone synths but this was pretty good, it stands out for being partially melodious! That cloud reverb is clearly a big part of the sound too.
Very cool on the hunt for a cool new dark drone and this looks and sounds amazing! More reason to have monster Doepfer cases as the cool fun modules are pigs on hp space requirements.
Is there something controlling this module or is that just the module? I’ve seen this on different website but thought, oh look, a picture on a module. How novel and cute. WRONG!!! This thing is absolutely amazing!!!! I’ll starting saving up now . Also, if you see my mind let me know. It was just blown away.
hey there! It would be fantastic if you could compare the v1 to the new v2, I don't really get what's the differences are.. Clouds part seems more toward delay and reverb, I don't get what it changes as i don't get a cloud.. Clock out can be easily implemented on the v1 as well, so... Thanks.
You can download the manual on their site, I'll quote it "Drone VCO : Generates sound based on equations converted to analog signals , there are sixteen equations selected by Up and Down switches. Four leds indicate equation number in binary mode. Three Pots modify numbers used by the equation, A0 , A1 and A2 , fourth pot Sample Rate controls pitch and speed of the oscillation. There’s an Output Level pot for the oscillator and a dedicated jack for patching the Oscillator sound to external modules . " So it sounds like it is analogish, lol!
They win the award for coolest looking eurorack module
This is nice. It feels like I am standing outside the club. Thanks for the awesome demo.

I like it. As you said, it has a certain darkness to it.

Totally understand where you’re coming from, can spend hours just twiddling! Maneco just announced a version 2 as well!
@@biospherix where? Can t find any info about the version. Thanks
@@rastcheck6037 I believe it was on their Facebook page but you can check for updates on their website: manecolabs.com
SO not for live use unless you want to sabotage a good portion of your sets?
I use this live all the time it’s great you just have to e to roll with it and get to know maybe just a fell of the algorithms .

This thing is an endless inspiration machine from hell, record every second! Fucking love it

A VCA with an envelope after this would probably do wonders.
Best explanation on the grone yet, super well done video, thanks! Any chance of a detailed video on the expander?

🔥 love this module.
Amazin thing ! Is the background picture of the grone the System Schock loading picture ? It looks familiar
Hey thx for the vid. I see the new version grone 2 has changed a bit, no more clouds. Any thoughts on that? Any thoughts on the mini?

Also, on v1, can the left part (vco/filter) can be routed to an external module and re-entered in the cloud section?
thanks.
Can this be used outside of a eurorack with a regular power adapter?
you would need the pedal version for that
Is the vcf analogue or digital like the vco? Thanks
Not entirely sure, I think it’s analogue but don’t quote me on that.

@@stephenmandelbaum2027 thanks a lot for the explanation :)
Start recording when you hit something good because reproducing things with this demon box is impossible...
