People can practice whatever religion they wish, but the Chinese state does not support any particular religion, financial or otherwise. The West has difficulty understanding this and for over a century has continued to push Christianity onto the Chinese state. The issue of religion is now within the debate of human rights. The West is relentless and does not understand or respect that all nations should decide for themselves how they wish to govern their people and their land, not a foreign power.
