Y'know it makes you wonder if BR!Phil gives *himself* any breaks. We know he doesn't really give BR!Tommy/Theseus any, but maybe because he's gotten so used to working himself into oblivion ever since BR!Kristin died (thinking himself unworthy of breaks because if he'd only worked harder his beloved would still be alive-), he's preparing Theseus to take on that increased workload, even though it's very much unnecessary for him. (I'm not siding with BR!Phil btw, that man is a b[~~~], but my mind came up with this and tbh? I can see it actually be the case.)
you know, this book reminds me of a story. A family had a little girl and completely ignored her. If she got 99% or lower, they would scold her. If she got 100%, they would just say she was supposed to get the grade and it wasn't something to be proud of. When she was 6 or something, they had another girl. They loved her very much, gave her everything. They continued to ignore the first girl but the second girl they spoiled. Girl two fails, it's fine. Girl two wants a new phone, sure. when girl one was 18, she moved out and got married. Years later, the parents went looking for girl 1 cause girl 2's boyfriend was insane. Turns out, they spoiled girl 2 so that girl 1 would work even harder to get the parent's attention. They never loved girl 2.
I find this awfully cute!! BR!Phil on the other hand... we might have some problems. (/j) He better not do anything to BR!Ranboo cause he's been nice as well.
