Sounds like a very sweet lady. My experience as a nyab, however is a bit different, I love my mother to pieces but i don’t feel the same from her. She has said hurtful things to me which makes it really hard to build a relationship w/her. Everyone have expectations for their kids but when we don’t do things the way she likes, she would guilt trip us and belittle us. Its not even like we’re doing anything bad. She also picks and chooses the one she loves. Her treatment towards us is not consistent, One day she’s fine and one day she gives you the silent treatment. I feel like I’m never enough. I feel like I’m trying to love a person who won’t let me love them. It’s very hurtful though we never say anything to her, it’s just that over time, all this will make us more distant.

That's right because I personally been there but I have a soft soul so I still around help and love my parents as much as I can because I have like 8 brothers and 4 sisters and I'm the oldest everything are on my shoulder to carry and burden to deal with and I get no respects from my siblings or my parents either but now I changed how I deal with my family and I became the bad person but I still care for my whole family but I just stay on the side only and help when they ask nicely.
