Absolutely agree , I was a dancer and choreographed many dance ( I’m a professional Nurse and I get my colleagues to chill out with all music). The thing I love the most about the absolute amazing performance was that Usher put his own twist of his dancing style incorporated n dance as the amazing young talented man Jung Kook stayed intense as he always does during his dancing performance. I’m 68 and 8-10 isn’t bad. As much as I love Usher, I think I may love the original version of this song just a tiny bit better. For me, the original is 10 out of 10. This one is like 9.75 out of 10 … which means I think it is amazing. Tell Dad the story is he is standing next to his woman no matter what: “We will survive the test of time. THEY can’t deny our love. THEY can’t divide us…” so there is a conflict in of people who don’t want them together. The musical team behind all the songs in Golden are Grammy award winning western lyricists, musicians, producers, directors, dancers promoted and released under Hybe America. Saw him several times in concert and words cannot express my gratitude for loving his voice and dancing ( I was a dancer and did choreographed many Dance before my other career passion of being a Professional Nurse, I still dance and break up our tension at work because we are Critical Care ICU NURSES). Jung Kook I’ve watched bloom into something I didn’t see coming for this amazingly talented young artist. His icons are the late Michael Jackson ( which you can hear and see in this remix), Also influenced majorly by Usher and Justin Timberlake. This collaboration is fire . The respect Jung Kook has for Usher you can obviously see in the video. While Jung Kook was starting his Mandatory Korean Army tour he came back to LA to make this video and return to Korea ( Godspeed JK , we will be seeing you in 2025 ). Usher is coming out with a record in February which includes this song. He is also doing the Super Bowl and waiting to see him ( curious if this will be a song he sings being that the song has already went Platinum). A 8/10 is still good. But don't agree with the part that there isn't a storyline. It's like Romeo and Julia. He will stand by her, they will fight for this love no matter what and no matter if people want to seperate them. So that's a great message. Your dad could read the lyrics again, because it's sometimes not easy to focus on the performance and to the lyrics at the same time. Also you should also watch the original MV.

I agree with your dad. I also give it a 8 too. Everything was great but the lyrics were very weak compared to most contemporary r&b songs.

@KesleySaint , this is an amazing song with the iconic Usher who is from my day . Saw him several times in concert and words cannot express my gratitude for loving his voice and dancing ( I was a dancer and did choreographed many Dance before my other career passion of being a Professional Nurse, I still dance and break up our tension at work because we are Critical Care ICU NURSES). Jung Kook I’ve watched bloom into something I didn’t see coming for this amazingly talented young artist. His icons are the late Michael Jackson ( which you can hear and see in this remix), Also influenced majorly by Usher and Justin Timberlake. This collaboration is fire . The respect Jung Kook has for Usher you can obviously see in the video. While Jung Kook was starting his Mandatory Korean Army tour he came back to LA to make this video and return to Korea ( Godspeed JK , we will be seeing you in 2025 ). Usher is coming out with a record in February which includes this song. He is also doing the Super Bowl and waiting to see him ( curious if this will be a song he sings being that the song has already went Platinum). Thank you so much for your reaction and your father’s ( him and I are from the Usher era). Vocals spot on for both gentlemen and choreography for me is the best collaboration I have ever seen. 👍💃👠🎶❤️🔥💕🙏
You should of shown him the original Version of Jungkook and then the remix with Usher I’m a really big fan of Usher too but will say I prefer the original Version better

A 8/10 is still good. But don't agree with the part that there isn't a storyline. It's like Romeo and Julia. He will stand by her, they will fight for this love no matter what and no matter if people want to seperate them. So that's a great message. Your dad could read the lyrics again, because it's sometimes not easy to focus on the performance and to the lyrics at the same time. Also you should also watch the original MV.

Im 55 and the orginal is okay but with Usher on it he put that extra stank on it ..I dont even listen to BTS and dont know who any of them are..
Sorry but dad doesn't even pray bts story line in other songs and now all of a sudden story line matters, bts make music with meaningful lyrics and ppl come and say" we'll I dont undrestand what they say " they make english song ppl" call it childish," they make romantic english song ppl say" it lacks meaning and story line" , I guss no matter what they do thers still ppl who won't be satisfied , as rm said you can't make every one to like you and your music
I am 61 Army and loved both Usher and JK.
I've read some of the other comments and I agree with most of them. What your dad didn't think about is this isn't Usher's song, it's Jungkook's and his original version has a story line, a video and many performances. I hope you will take a moment to watch the original, no need to do a reaction. Hope your dad will listen to the entire album, Golden. I also hope he will give the rappers album a listen. RM's Indigo and D-Day by Suga were amazing.
