I like Beyonce's power I like Leona's ease and freedom better. Honestly The Best of both worlds. Leona's vibrato is harder to do cuz it's slower. It always stood out to me it is very hard to control slower vibrato! She is truly an underrated singer!

Beyonce also exhibits better control because she shows the ability to manipulate the speed and character of the vibrato for different vocal expressions depending on the musical setting of the song.

Her phonation in the lower chest and the fact that she has to start mixing a lot more intensely much earlier.. also the color and density of her head voice is also textbook standard mezzo. There is a little shift in her placement in the E5/F5 are ( it’s very subtle because you can hear that she worked this passagio) . And yes , the ease in the upper register can make her pass for a soprano especially with age and as her voice matured. In the classical world she could EASILY sing a soprano area ( most of them goes up to a B5 and she sustained them with no effort now )
I'd give consistency to Beyonce, and there's so much more she can do that Leona can't, with that being said, I personally prefer Leona, and when she's in good shape she can really blow, and being classically trained her head voice has always been something else.
Leona's tone and heavier vibrato and falsetto are my favorites in this clip. Beyonce will always win those low notes as well as some high as Leona seem to struggle with strain up there more so than Beyonce. But Leona's voice from Bb4 to C5 is incredible.

From what I recall he has two vids of Leona and in them it's a vocal battle betweeher and some one else. With Beyonce, he not only has vocal battles but vocal showcases plus his fave note compilations with her and other singers.

Also I think another reason why you said that Leona’s “head voice” was brighter was because it was her falsetto. She definitely can switch between to 2 because it is shown in video. No, Leona actually uses head voice much more than falsetto. Her head voice is brighter because she's a Soprano and a very light one at that while Beyonce is a Mezzo-Soprano.

When it comes to their vocal tones, it's interesting. Beyonce's voice is more distinctive and sounds good on certain kinds of songs -- but it makes her who she is. Leona's voice is generally more pleasant to listen to but also more basic -- not really unique.

And she controls her own production. And manage herself as an artist. Most singers can’t dance and most dancers can’t sing or don’t have strong voices at all. Beyoncé is The Total Package.

All the hard parts were left up to the dancers, when she left off the stage and they performed. Majority of the time, Beyoncé is the singer, her dancers are the real performers. She knows to play it safe when it comes to dancing.
2 amazing vocalists! beyonce is a mezzo soprano while leona is a soprano so it's just natural that when it comes to the lower notes, beyonce would have more weight than leona. similarly, leona would thus have the ease and range at the 6th octave compared to beyonce. never the less, both are amazing and i love vocal battles like this! makes you appreciate their artistry, technique, and individual stylings

In my humble opinion. Low Notes- Bey sweeps Chest/Mixed- Leona really surprised me in the lower notes in this range being a soprano, and Beyoncé surprised me with her upper belting range. I would’ve expected the opposite to be true. Overall I prefer Bey but it’s closer than I expected. Bb4: Leona (omg the resonance!) B4: Tie C5: Beyoncé C#5: Beyoncé D5: Beyoncé Eb5: Beyoncé E5: Beyoncé (I didn’t like Leona’s E5 here, I actually thought Beyoncé’s was more effortless) F5: Beyoncé F#5: Tie G5: Tie G#5: Leona Head Voice- I actually prefer Beyoncé’s tone in her head voice. Much more power/ more operatic and consistent across all of the notes. Leona has a very pretty falsetto-like head voice especially at the top of her range. just based on the clips provided, beyoncé won on the low notes but leona won the belt and the falsetto parts. that's just based on the clips because if you listen to leona's other performances of bleeding love and run, the low notes were perfect.

All these battles of the vocals they make comparing Beyonce to misc singers. please. I want to see all these other females dancing as hard as she does. for 2 hours. in heels. and still hitting these notes. none of them can compete.
What’s always a little weird to me with these type of videos is that they love to use Beyoncé as a show pony. They always use her to go against less talented singers to prove an obvious point. It annoys me that I rarely ever see video comparisons of Bey against someone who is perceived to be in or above her skill level. They don’t respect her gangsta they way they pretend to.
The thing is. Beyoncé doesn’t have an AMAZING voice. But she’s an AMAZING singer. Leone has an AMAZING voice. But is just a GOOD singer. That’s the difference.

All the hard parts were left up to the dancers, when she left off the stage and they performed. Majority of the time, Beyoncé is the singer, her dancers are the real performers. She knows to play it safe when it comes to dancing.

2 amazing vocalists! beyonce is a mezzo soprano while leona is a soprano so it's just natural that when it comes to the lower notes, beyonce would have more weight than leona. similarly, leona would thus have the ease and range at the 6th octave compared to beyonce. never the less, both are amazing and i love vocal battles like this! makes you appreciate their artistry, technique, and individual stylings

Chest/Mixed- Leona really surprised me in the lower notes in this range being a soprano, and Beyoncé surprised me with her upper belting range. I would’ve expected the opposite to be true. Overall I prefer Bey but it’s closer than I expected.
