After 23 years it’s Great to see the guys still playing soccer on the beach in the evening . Usually around 5:00 in the evening we would sit on the beach and watch the games. You never saw that many long tail boats parked on the beach 23 years ago. Those restaurants on the walking road and the walking road itself didn’t even exist back then.
A lot has changed in 23 years. Lots of new developments including hotels, shops and restaurants. I think I liked it more before the build up. The many new hotel accommodations can only mean more tourists. It was the Leonardo DiCaprio film The Beach that inspired me AND a few million others to flock to Thailand.
Good to see not much has changed since March. It was very interesting to see how rough the water was on the way out. I've only been during peak season when it's flat as glass.
Do you want to keep it for yourself?...Or don't you travel around the world?... I agree with you...don't let it become another maya bay....but that's something the thai government can restrict.... With a maximum amount of tourists
