This was a waste like others said. Short answer, they will do everything in their power to not unlock it! I called at beginning of month after paying for another month and they told me it was unlocked. Got new sim from different company and wouldn't work. Called back and they trying to say it's ran out of minutes now they can't unlock it! Well i have appointment tomorrow with my local state representative who is going to help myself file a complaint with the state attorney general's office. These people need to stop trying to rip us customer's off. Also filing complaint with FCC and BBB. Don't take no for a answer people!
@@slugo915wait this video worked for you 11 days ago? I just got off the phone with boost. That woman lied lie after me with bullshit excuses. My A03s is sim locked at first when she thought I was staying with boost she was sweet and polite. Then soon as I so inform them I not coming back to boost entire atmosphere changed. And I'm at Home!! Gonna try this based Solely off your Post. Glad you got your phone unlocked bro hopefully I have the same luck
@lolaarafi3484 Boost finally did it the next day! From my experience you have to let them know ahead of time then call back and demand it be unlocked after your next due date. That way they knew I wasn't joking. Also be sure you've been with them a year and I believe the cell you purchased has to be a year old also. I could be wrong on the length but know they like others have terms you must meet first before they will unlock it. No issues with Q link wireless so far.
@@slugo915 I am overseas, and my phone has been a year without sim card since i opened it up brand new 😂 have called customer service manu times they just ghosting me, told me to call back but never happen. I will try to call again, because it's been a year.
I plan on a European trip the end of the summer. I called up Boost Mobile and asked them to unlock the phone. I was given a code and told that when I get to Europe and put the new SIM card in it will ask me for the code to unlock the phone. I have had this phone since July 15th, 2022.
That's BS, there us no code, it's done over the air or WiFi connection. I tried inserting a foreign sim and all it shows is "You phone is locked" in a popup and there's nowhere you can enter a code.
2 hours of other troubleshooting videos then I hit diamonds. I have lawnchair on my phone now not even sure why. This video helped me grasp some stuff I was missing like the 12 months active and the over seas items never thought they would have to have a policy like that. She wants to switch to straight talk. If I get her phone unlocked through boost mobile (she's had the same phone and service 3years) and buy a straight talk sim card kit. Will the Straight talk sim card work? I'm just confused when they say GSM or CDMA because I think boost is GSM and Straight talk is CDMA and GSM.If you can help id appreciate it so much.Thank you 👍
you got it right. Depending on your area straight talk runs off att which is gsm or Verizon which is CDMA. My boost was running off of T-Mobile which is GSM, but it's still different than att. Best bet is to get a new straight talk phone from the local Walmart.
i read boost policy... it says the 12 month thing but it also says that it can be unlocked via customer request for itnternational travel! so my question is and i know this isnt morrally correct but.. if i called boost support up and told them im going to japan with some friends for a while would they unlock it? pssst ( the trip to japan is a lie i just want to know if they will unlock it..)
try calling them and tell them a false story about goin on a intl trip... they policy said they unlock they phones for intl travel! try it and let me know if they actually do it! i want to try this for my self also but i need to know if it actually works...
I got it unlocked finally. I had to threaten to report them to the FCC. Literally my phone was unlocked the next day after that. But until then they gave me every excuse in the world for at least 3 weeks. @@dylanlindsay1993
I keep calling Boost Mobile customer service and they keep pissing me off so I tell them about how I used to go to school with the Indian kid and we bullied her until she slit her wrists in the bathtub she was 13 years old and they keep hanging up on me for some reason. Their customer service is horrible
Last year I bought a Moto 5G Stylus phone from Boost Mobile for $60, I thought I could sign up for the new customer $10/mo plan that my friend has, but they only allowed the $42/mo unlimited plan. I cancelled after 2 months, but since it's been a year I wonder if they would let me sign up for the $10 plan now?
I got a Moto g 5g stylus from Walmart for boost that came with 3 months of service, after that I paid $45 for 90 days each time, they set My bill to 90 days instead of 30. If you ever see a combo pack like that I'd try it lol

Got it unlocked finally and new Sim is working good. Should have did this long time ago. Never will I return to Boost!

Factory reset you can do it just1 make sure you know your email and password you might lost everything if you want to unlock your phone
