Unfortunately it is not schools that are the problem, it’s Government policy. Schools are only allowed to teach what is dictated by the national curriculum. Change needs to come from a government level not an individual school.

In this case it would indeed be individual schools, teachers, and parents who are required to highlight the long-term benefits of financial education, so there may be an opportunity to encourage policy changes to support the inclusion of financial literacy in curriculum.
